Make sure you have no poppy seeds stuck to you when you arrive... :P

Never knew that , i usually take melatonin with me on Holiday just incase i need it , so i could get 4 years for it lol ....i took some on my last trip to Egypt...also took some high dosage migraine tablets too ..but if the doctors giving them you , they surely u cant get 4 years?

I usually read laws before i jet off but drugs i dont even look at as ive never done illegal drugs in my life , but you can get done for normal pills

Btw ... dont u chavs have sex on the beach lol

Burj Al Arab - £3701 per person - HOT!

Burj Al Arab - £3701 per person - HOT!

i would love to too, but its apartments not hotel. so no much impressed.

I wouldn't want to validate the slave culture by visiting Dubai.

I love reading all the strange opinions on threads like this...

Hot deal thanks

It's not as bad as the press always make out. :whistling: They always seem to give Dubai a good bashing when they get bored. In fact it's just an excuse for their reporters to come over on an all expenses paid trip to visit the dodgiest hooker bars and high class hotels which produce more greenhouse gases than a entire small country. I'm sure if a local reporter here visited the UK they too could spend some of their time in the stinking areas of London and swig extortiante drinks at some of the UKs luxary hotels. Yes they can arrest you over silly things but usually if your not a complete ar*ehole to them they won't try and find things to arrest you for. It's simple, play by the rules and you'll be fine but don't play by the rules and you'll find yourself in some hot water. That article you posted above is old. Grooverider was arrested and jailed for 4 years but was released after just 10 months with a pardon from the Sheikh over Ramadan last year. Taking cannabis in a country where it is strictly outlawed, he deserves what he got. And how bout the whole sex on the beach article too. The UK papers made out that this is completely normal behaviour on Britain's beaches. The fact was the couple involved had lived here several years and knew the rules, no excuses.

I live in Dubai and yes some things are frustrating but you deal with it and the good points far outweigh the bad. BTW I wouldn't touch that apartment included in the deal or anywhere in Deira unless it is on the creek front. That is or course unless you like spending half your holiday sat in a stationary taxi due to the amount of traffic.

I visited Dubai about 2 years ago and loved it, would recommend it to anyone who likes either city breaks or beach type holidays. We stayed 5 nights and there is so much to do that we didn't even get time to go to the beach. I would recommend staying in a hotel south of the creek though.

I visited Dubai for 14 nights and must admit it was the best holiday over the Christmas period, however, I must also admit staying in Dubai is boring after a few days but the excitment kicks in if you hire out a car and head out to places such as Oman and Abu Dhabu etc then its defo. worth a visit.
Also the services provided by Qatar Airways was excellent but you do stop at Doha but only for 20mins which was fab

I love Dubai been visiting for last 8 years, lucky to get there twice a year. Horses for courses wont suit all but i love it.
