4GB is fine for many lighter duties, 8GB is pretty good for this low price

I got a old laptop that came with four gig of memory. Its taken me a while to get around to installing additional ram. I can certainly say going to 6gb, and then 8gb was noticeable. Again like mentioned, it all depends on how hard you want to push the beast.

Windows 10 runs fine on 2gb, it’s made for low end laptops.
Seems very good value for a general all-rounder? You would be hard pushed to buy the parts for this price, let alone put it together and ship it, plus add a 3 or warranty? Heat from me...
Nice little system, add a basic 580 or something cheap and you have a good 1080p gaming rig.
Just a long shot but will this run the pc game called Miscreated? or Dayz etc? or would I need a dedicated Graphics Card?

It will run them but barely. You would really want to spend another £100 on a dedicated graphics card.
Will this run Football Manager?

Asking for an imaginary friend.

Your first mistake is using chrome.

Well that's debatable. Depends what you're doing with it. I have Chrome, Firefox and IE for various different reasons.
Reasonable spec and as this is aimed at people who want to install a proper OS themselves - 8Gb is usually more than enough. Pity about the case but you can always hide that under the desk.
Has 500w power supply and HDMI port. No wireless. Case looks big enough for other drives but does not say if it has spare bays in. I would want to put a wireless card, more ram and an additional drive in. Maybe a graphics card later.
Is this better than higher spec refurbs for around the same money?

Hi, yes it will. You might need to reduce the graphics a little, but in all liklihood, it will run it fine, as it needs the following specs to run as a minimum... systemrequirementslab.com/cyr…377

Yes, miles better. This is a no brainer in fairness. It will game for the time being and you can add your GPU later. Memory, be careful, as they are usually shipped with lower spec memory, so when you go to upgrade (I assume to 16gb), you'll be better off buying 2 x 8gb matched units with higher speed to help the onboard vega along. If you add a dedicated GPU, you might get away with trying to find a similar stick of ram to what this will have installed, but its a bit of a lottery. The onboard graphices benefit greatly from fast dual channel memory... There would be no reason at all to go for a second hand unit when machines this powerful exist for such a small amount of money. As someone else said, the refurb market will be under pressure this year!!!
