This falls in to the higher tax bracket so it will be £465 a year to tax after the first year!

If you can afford £389 a month you can afford £465 a year road tax.

Lol a bit like saying diesel will cost £1.25 a litre at Tesco forecourt.

The service is £400ish in 2 years time.

I think he was just pointing out out more than complaining. First service should be about £280. It's the second one that's the absolute killer which you might be able to avoid.

It’s nothing like saying how much diesel costs?

Just quoting expenses relating to the car.

Really? £280 is good, I was thinking of signing up to the monthly service plan.

This new road tax is ridiculous. Based on RRP.

You could add the cost of tyres then as well. The point is that a lot of people aren’t aware of the new tax brackets.
Looking at 4 year old 520ds on Autotrader this basically looks like you're just paying for the depreciation once you've taken the 'generous' dealer contribution into account, doesn't seem to be much of a deal.
True but where else can you get a brand new 520D M Sport this cheap?
8000 miles in a diesel??? Get ready to clean your dpf and EGR

That is what pcp is. The deal is that you get to drive a new car for four years, rather than a four year old used car.

I'd sooner buy a 2 year old 520d for the same amount of money using a bank loan, do whatever mileage I wanted, and own it at the end. But each to their own.

It makes no sense to rent a 520d for £18k+ for 4 years to only do 8000 miles a year? Doesn't seem frugal to me, and this is meant to be a deals website, not a 'cheapest way to keep up with the Joneses with a brand new 5 series' website.

If this was a whacky depreciation beating deal it would be different, but I think the deal temperature speaks for itself ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It’s not daft if you only do 7999 miles!
Still nothing as close to this deal.

I think you can pay off the car loan after a month. Easy way to save £10K.
