Hot but I just looked up one of the £39 ones in Bournemouth, sounds like an absolute dump.

Wouldn't stay if it was free all
Of thre hotels are disgusting

Manchester brittania hotel is lovely :-)

Doesnt brittania also own Pontins?? Nuff said

Great deal.

Essentially, book a hotel room and get meal/wine for free.

stayed at the one in Stoke and found a condom on the radiator..absolute pit

Nottingham one is a dive id rather sleep on a park bench than in a Britannia room

don't rate the Manchester one at all, it was dreadful when I stayed there a year ago.

Dirty dirty flea pits, all of them. I don't know how they haven't been shut down.

Stayed at the Coventry Hill last year, no major complaints but everything very average, food, room, service etc. Not recommended for a romantic weekend at all. You get what you pay for...

just looked at most of these hotels and all the reviews are between 2-3 stars out of 5. seems like the hotels arent that good at all

Cold. All vile places

I went to a Microsoft training course in Manchester for a week. Thankfully, I don't live too far away so I was on the train each day. There were a few trainees from a council in Wales and they stayed at the Britannia. None of them got any sleep and they described it as a 'knocking shop!'. The reviews on tripadvisor don't reflect too well either!

I worked in one of these and you couldn't pay me to stay in there! There are full of refugees at the minute too as the owner is soooo greedy.

Stayed in Britannia Aberdeen, never again will I step foot in a Brittania, absolute sh@t hole

Dirty places, staff that checked us in looked like they needed a good scrub too and the food was just as bad

I would stay again at the grand burstin britannia in Folkestone if someone paid me to...

So, are these hotels any good?

Everyone ALWAYS says "You get what you PAY for"? .. then they ALL go 'HEAD FIRST' into ANY & EVERY Pound Shop going!, simply to save a few quid off the latest alll singing all dancing Lightning Cable for £1? .. INSTEAD of spending £15 - £20 odd for exactly the same sodding THANG from APPLE?!?! .. but yet .. "You get what you PAY for right ..... "

Your comment/statement is NOT 'GENERIC' for all?! .. not everyone need a Lamborgini to buy simple shopping at Sainsburys?, a Fiesta would more then suffice right? .. or better yet, do like I do .. 'WALK' ..... lool. :-)

Proper **** holes. Full of asylum seekers and immigrants. FACT. Stayed at the one near Gatwick last year and would have enjoyed sleeping rough on the streets more. Filthy hovels full of tramps and hoes.

Stayed in the Stockport one, the most disgusting place I've ever visited! Check out trip advisor for the reviews and pictures, a real horror show! Would never stay in Brittania hotel again even if it was free.

Ohhhh Jayesh!

I've been to The Scarisbrick in Southport - not by choice mind. I wouldn't bother !!!! Dive !!

Trust me if you're on a budget stay at a travelodge, have dinner at mcdonalds and buy a cheap bottle of plonk at tesco on the way back to the hotel...even if it was free i wouldnt do this deal!

Calm down

I'd rather stay in an ebola ridden slum than in one of these hotels. Cold.

I must say I share the sentiment shared here, Britannia International in Canary Wharf is a filthy hole, full of rodents, worn curtains and god knows what else.
But as the OP says if you're up for a filthy night out, that's the right spot.

We did the same deal at Coventry hill last year. The food was vert good. Room was outdated but clean. £39 is a bargain. Heat given.

Actually the £59 one in Bournemouth is really nice, did a Groupon there last year.

Went to Royal bath in Bournemouth recently for £59 it was brilliant, huge place great facilities & location by the sea

I totally agree with you,
'Reduce, Re-use,Recycle'

Think of the Environment !!!!

Given all the comments how on earth does this get a heat rating of 121????

I just can't get my head around this scoring system

Horrible hotels. Will be full of old people so unromantic. Cold from me, just as it's Brittania

It is 52 out of 71 hotels in Bournemouth , sounds brill.

You must love it though, you joined this site just to defend this cess pit

You'd definitely get a dirty weekend staying in a Britannia. They're filthy! Both in Manchester City centre are dumps - don't let the Britannia's foyer on Portland St. fool you.

They were recently voted the worst chain in the UK too.

Freezing cold from me.
