Yep gotta add delivery
I love how people are saying this is a good price for a chip that launched 5 months ago. with an rrp of £449...I say let the greedy pigs swing, we all chastised Intel for this, why is this cool now?

Believe the Rrp is £480 and the average price for this is £550 at one point it was over £700 so all things considered it a ok price supply and demand sucks for us customers sometimes not really amd Fault they can't make enought chips

They can make enough chips, just that AMD is funneling the best silicon towards their Threadripper and Epic lines, where the margins are fattest. If they were more considerate of the average punter, the shelves could be overflowing with 3900X & 3950X's

I sort of agree with you, just saying it's within AMDs ability, to do something about it. I think you're right about the £479 rrp, it's just ridiculous that after 5 months, it hasn't been available for that...it should be £30-40 below that now, not more!! Plus it's even more galling to have retailers crossing out £100,000, saying they're saving us 400 gazillion percent, selling it at £500+

Look at the 3950 as well, I watched the Scan and eBuyer listings like a hawk, it never once came into stock, and is still stuck as a pre-order, why the f do a paper launch on the 25th, bother me when you can actually offer me it?!

The average punter has zero need for a 3900 or 3950. You’re referring to enthusiasts.

AMD are obviously having to cater for all the regular retail SKUs and the enterprise buyers.

After 10* years in the wind. AMD have brought competition back and need to build their coffers. However it’s the retailers who are inflating the price. Even then 12c/24t and 16t/32t chips are these prices is amazing. If it were Intel we’d be looking at much more.

Claimed my codes, process was, had to download AMD checker to check for qualifying product then from amd rewards website you can claim your codes so assuming you can then sell them as end user just needs to redeem them using epic launcher.
