I got sucked into buying a set years ago and they work ok as a backup set but have been plagued by continual mail ever since. I once sent them a brick to their freepost address and they stopped for a year but now they have started mailing me catalogues every bl00dy week!

They ignore any requests to stop and Mailing preference service reports dont stop them either.

Time to find a concrete breeze block methinks

They are £15 on groupon with a stated saving of 50% which leads me to believe the savings they are claims are false

This review is from: JEAN PATRIQUE Proffessional XS 5 piece Chef's Knife Set
Used in a commercial kitchen many, many times a day.
Good quality at a good price.
I would like Jean Patrique to extend the range of knives offered.
I need a good, long carving knife and a metal, flexible spatula as a minimum.

The negative comments have been people dropping and mistreating the knives. Also about contacting the compnay.

But I must say, I have used JP produces before and been very happy with them

But the deal I posted is cheaper than the groupon!!!!!

I got some last time they were on offer, I get no spam mail. Maybe there's a hidden opt out?
The knives are ok but started to go rusty thanks to dishwasher salt. Ok now I hand wash them.
For the money they're good IMHO

I wasn't debating the cost, just pointing out Groupon believe their value to be only £30 or so and as such the savings claims by the link provided seem over inflated to con you into buying them.

got them last year and very happy. but you do get lots of mail from the company afterthat

I got these a year or so again, the RRP is a pile of crap but they are a decent set of knifes

They are okay-ish back up knifes when you have a decent knifes.
But as for dishwasher- it's a big NO NO for any knife you value. Use your hands! ;-)

Better to put your money towards 1 good Victorinox knife that you can use every day and will last for years.
