Been using these at my work. Makes some games look amazing. Can give you a head ache after a while but its worth it. Still a bit pricey tho.

Getting this for xmas this year

Would take a look at the Zalman monitor, or maybe the iz3d one if you're looking at this. In my opinion most people would prefer the Zalman to either of the others.

Wireless done via IR I think, basically the same as the Elsa 3d Revelator back in the day.

Agreed that polarised are best, hence my suggestions above.
