Been researching mobile broadband for some time.

Mobile broadband is a mixed bag with some people very happy and others complaining of terrible speeds. Overall, the fastest speed supplier (atleast in London and airports) was Vodafone, but the downside was always their price.

They are now doing a special offer that can only be ordered on the phone. 18 month contract for £18 p/m for 3gb data. Also you get the dongle free.

One downside/upside is that if you overgo your 3 gb they immediately charge you £15 for the next gb - even if you use one megabyte. This is a little sharp, but on the other hand if you were to overgo 1gb with 3, that would cost you approx £100. They told me that their software will warn me when I get to the 3gb limit, so you should only overgo if you want to.

On their website you can get an 18 month contact with 3 months free, but this deal is far better. When I called sales, they first tried to flog me that deal, so make sure to ask for the £10 deal. Even if you were to take the web deal + £40 quidco, you would (if the quidco went through) still be saving £5 with this deal.

You can cancel the whole thing within 7 days if unhappy with anything.

This is not for everyone, but as someone who has been searching some time this is a spanking deal.

Not sure on expiry, but this is a current offer, not permanent.

Review can be found here: mobile-phones-uk.org.uk/vod…htm

Hope this helps someone.

£120 when i took the contract out, 12 months @ £15 = £180 - £120 = £60 for the year.

after the year i told them cancel so i can take another cashback deal but they offered £7.50 a month which i have today!

I have a 3GB allowance with T-Mobile and never go over that but I use my Wifi at home, Starbucks, McDonalds and just use the Mobile Broadband when away from these. Be VERY carefull as you will get stung if you go over. My software never tracks the useage properly and goes from 0kb to 4.3gb in an instant (that is Dell Wireless Manager though). T-Mobile do not charge if you go over but write to ask you to reduce useage. I think 3 can block data when you hit the limit if you ask. If Voda did this then that would be worth activating.

My T-Mobile deal ends next month so I am interested in this deal. Thanks OP.

Yes, Tmobile is the only company that does a real unlimited mobile internet and for a very reasonable price of £15. they do not charge if you go over, but they will cap the speed. Problem with them is that apparently the speed is very very slow alot of the time.

Could you verify this?

Another great thing about Vodafone is that it can be used abroad.

Well i can confirm this deal is live, I've just signed up, they did try to sell the £15 per month deal, but i said "a friend told me about a £10 a month deal". Off she went to her manager (or at least put me on hold) and came back and said "the deal finished a while ago, but as your friend got the deal then you can have it".

Dongle sent of 1st class. Give it a whirl for 7 days and see how it goes!

Thanks OP..... Heat & resp added

Most can be used abroad if you have the deep pockets to pay for it.

It will depend where you are but I get great speeds with T-Mobile. Was streaming some video and downloading today in Leeds and getting 1.7 and 2.1Mb/s.

Remember also that T-Mobileis merging its network with Orange to make T-Orange so coverage will get even better.

Of course my speeds may not represent what you get so check the coverage maps.

Most networks only charge £1.50/Mb in Europe. Not cheap to surf but enough to check webmail and news sites etc.
