Dropbox is giving 3GB or more of free space for 2 years when you confirm your university email. The amount of free space depends on how many people will take part in this offer from your Uni!

This deal DOESN"T have my affiliation link, I am posting this because I feel this is a quite hot deal!

Great deal, cheers!

im a student and finish next year which means my uni email will expire then which may give issues with this sort of account?

unless you can change your email address once you have signed up?

but you get 2gb free anyway so not much difference really

I reckon you can still keep your 3GB for 2 years. It's like connecting your Twitter account to get more space - I created a new account, connected with dropbox, got the space, deleted my fresh Twitter account - still got extra space

For all the cheeky HUKDers, yes you need to verify your uni email address in order to get the 3gb.

Hottt!!! Now I have 11gb+ free space Hopefully it'll last more than 2 years though.

woop! thats 29.2GB of space now

Dammit, my @alumni.ac.uk email didn't work, said that my university isn't part of the scheme (but it is).

What do I do?

Only 2 years I think:

Earn free Dropbox space for everyone at your school! Join Space Race to … Earn free Dropbox space for everyone at your school! Join Space Race to get an extra 3 GB for two years, plus the space your school earns!

So if loads of people at your institute sign up, you can get 25gb extra max, but only for 2 years.

That's correct, I updated the deal description, thanks!

Thanks. My Uni address still works so I'll sign up for this, though it's a shame it's not permanent space like a lot of their other bonuses. I always worry that I'll fill up the space and then lose whatever I've uploaded in 2 years when I've forgotten about it and/or inevitably decided not to pay any extra to keep it

what happens after the 2 years though? do they delete your stuff?
