This is a great alternative to the overpriced Philips Hue LED light strip posted recently, and it's 3m long without having to mess with extension peices.
This smart RGB LED light strip can produce just about any colour, and can be dimmed to suit.
There is a companion app which can be downloaded from app store or Google play, which allows smart control from your phone.
Best of all,.if you link through Alexa or Google nest, you can control through your voice.
My girls say thing like, "Alexa, make my bedroom pink"
I have added the command "Alexa, it's bedtime" to turn them off at night too. Brilliant bit of kit for less than £30, and with the voucher FEB15, the price is now £22.49.
Bought 2 more myself.

I like the sound of this
With the voucher it’s actually only £19.12 but you also need to add on delivery if not collecting from a store.

Similar product slightly cheaper if getting delivered, also 5m rather than 3m

And more trusted brand
ebay is alot cheaper...
The better one for effect is the DreamColour rather than RGB. Dreamcolour has multi colours in a line and a built in IC, the RGB is just a single colour in a line and with no IC at all.

Can you control those from your mobile when outside the house? If not, are there any alternatives?
Bought these lights the other day.. 16 million colours, but not white!

You can control.them from the other side of the world. The unit connects to the home WiFi, and as long as you have signal on your phone, you can control them. Just tested this at home by switching off WiFi on my phone.

There's always something better,...... And more expensive. Thanks for the comment though.
Worth noting.
These products (TCP Smart) as all actually Tuya brand smart home products.
They all require cloud to function and the app isnt great, for example when i try to automate my tcp smart bulbs or create scenes the colour options mysteriously dissapear.
I may still buy this because you can flash tuya products (tuya-convert) and overwrite the firmware, probably dont look into this unless you are tech profficient and have a HASSIO based smart home.

You need RGBW (white) or RGBWW (warm white)strip this just RGB
This will need a diffuser covering the strip as when fitted you will see all the gaps in the strip Be around £10-£15 depending on profile and width if the strip

I think I’ve been able to achieve a warm white using the tcp app and adjusting to 60% cold.

However on the google app if you select the colour that is named ‘warm white’ it says unable to do it.

Carol finds herself in a grey area
