silence is golden.. ducttape is silver...or Gaffer tape if you're or were a roadie ☺

many imitators but you can't beat 3m... always have some in my vehicles...wait

Cold - not as quick as using handcuffs.

That's my 50 Shades theme night sorted

Eagerly anticipating my duct tape on 6th April... can't wait, actually why am I waiting for duct tape lol?

Universal? Since when isn't duct tape universal?lol

Looked at the link with the 25 uses, can't find any reason to buy this... it's actually not good for fixing ducts

Given that it's 3M, I was expecting quality tape. But I bought some last time it was round, and wasn't impressed. It's pretty thin, doesn't stick all that well and tends to leave glue when removed.

The best stuff I've found it the matt finish tape sold by CPC. But that's the best part of 9 quid a roll even when it's on special offer (which, admittedly, is most of the time). At least Lidl are doing black now, it used to only have silver. I might get a couple of rolls anyway, seems rude not to at that price.

My usage scenarios: taping up bits of broken racing car. Taping camera leads to racing car. Generally garage bodgery. Taping fireworks to sticks so they don't fall over. This might be more or less suitable for other applications.

Good price but won't beat pro grade Mag tape!

I had the same experience, definitely 3M seconds or budget range

I've noticed for some time now on, that due to some kind of phenomenon, when people see Lidl in the title they just hit hot - no matter what. And the posts generating most heat are just normal seasonal offers typical for Lidl.

Duck tape has been available to buy in POUNDLAND for ages.

How can you have "easy tear" duct tape?!?! Isn't that an oxymoron?

Most people want tape that actually sticks

"Duck Tape" is a brand, and I doubt you'll find it in Poundland. The duct tape they sell is very short rolls - probably 10m rather than the normal 50m, which makes it quite poor value at £1 even if were any good. Yes, here we go: 10m tape at Poundland. So the Lidl stuff is (1) a better brand, and (2) well under half the price per meter. But hey, if you like spending more money on worse products, don't let us stop you.

Same here, this stuff really doesn't stick very well. Normally find 3M stuff great.

Anybody any experience on how long this will actually keep the wife quiet for?
