Agreed. Especially when you get your own coffee mug.

Whats the difference between the two?

Costa gives 5 points per £, plus 25p off for your own mug. So a large latte which is usually around £3.25 will cost £3 after the mug discount but will get you only 15 points. Each point is worth 1p in redemption; you will have to buy 20 cups to get one free.

Nero, on the other hand, gives an extra stamp if you use your own mug. So 5 coffees give you 10 stamps - enough for a free coffee with a stamp to spare. And you can buy the cheapest one to get the stamps while the free one can be the most expensive. So at least 20% return compared to max 5% for Costa.

That is a great explanation!

When you put it like that, its a no brainer. I think you have just converted me from Costa to Nero, appreciate you taking the time to explain!
