420TVL that's poor, be like looking through frosted glass

Price is decent however, if your aim is to be able to provide evidence in the event of a burglary then 420tvl is a waste of time.

Image quality on these is shocking.....yes they will provide a deterrent but that's about it

I'll get rid of those • 4 x clear resolution 420TVL cameras & go for higher ones. Just sell them on.

thus dvr won't support higher tvl cameras

I had this dvr a few years ago old tech now but ok for whatever i suppose at this price and not that cheap really considering you have to add your own hard drive, by the time you add the hard drive and the remote viewing is a pain in the ass to setup and the cameras are 420tvl, I would advice anyone to go for the = SANNCE® 8CH 960H CCTV DVR Recorder with 4x 800TVL Security Cameras System 1TB HDD Pre-installed (960H/D1, HDMI/VGA/BNC Output, 800TVL Hi-Resolution, Vandalproof/Weatherproof Metal Housing, Superior Night Vision, P2P Technology/E-Cloud Service, Smartphone QR Code Scan Quick Access, PC Easy Remote Access) £185 from Amazon = it's a no brainer

I concur. If you factor in the time and effort of fitting the set, this £99 might be best put towards a set with higher resolution cameras, and you'll have something that could help identify offenders those times the deterrent effect doesn't work.

420 tvl is poor and I would stay clear, I have double this and still looking to improve in the future!

yep Amazon sance deal is great

The 500gb limit is naff too. Clearly very old stock

Ok just checked seems the thing itself can record d1 so not so bad but the cameras are naff so by the time you've added decent ones plus a hard drive which it seems may also be up to 2tb it's getting pricey

You get what you pay for. This is terrible.
For £175 you can get a much better quality system with a 1tb hd already included.

Depends what you expecting from video quality.

True 720p for £299.99: HD-CVI Kit

HD-CVI isn't true 720p! I'd want an IP camera for 720p or above.

Agree with the above that the police probably won't accept 420TVL as evidence unless the criminal is looking at the camera whilst he is removing it. It really is that bad!
