Cheap, but dated and surrounded by roadworks.

How about parking? Where is the best place to park?
3 nights I'll take one!!

Very, very dated hotel. The only thing in its favour is location.
It's surrounded by tram and road works
Cannot go wrong at that price
Good price for a few days away from the family after Xmas

Are the trams affected by roadworks?

Not the existing one but they are building a new tram line and there is also a shedload of new developments being built in and around where the hotel is
Birmingham has fallen.
recent tripadvisor reviews mention this but said slept well. Maybe not too much work on in between Xmas and New Year. Parking looks poor, only 35 spaces at what seems to be £12 per day, but from memory there are secure car parks in Birmingham ?

I'd check out prices for places like Ibis, theres a few in and around Birmingham and whilst basic I'd say are better than the Copthorne for around the same price

No they are building tram lines on that road to extend the current route
This deal is nothing special for Birmingham.
Awful awful hotel - from someone who has been!! Parking will also cost you a bomb!
Have a look at Tripadvisor before making any bookings.

I guess if you paid £100+ for a room , but at £33 ?. Overall good comments outweigh negative.
It’s not great tbh. Go for this deal if you need somewhere cheaper and conveniently located next to BrindleyPlace/the centre/The Rep, otherwise go for somewhere nicer, very tired inside
Thanks for posting @bowdiddly we have added this to the Highlights section
Saw this deal in the corner of my eye as I was closing the app, thought it was an Xbox controller.
Birmingham.....no thank you. I lived in that whole for 4 years. I can confirm that all the rumours are true..... Drive a little more to Manchester or London. Stay away if you can!

parking is available at what is locally referred to as 'The Cage' - it is actually called the Town Hall car park
I stayed here about 5 years ago and it has had nothing done on it since then, and it was very dated when i stayed.

take yourself off up Broad Street and stay in the Jury's Inn, The Novotel or the Hilton Garden Inn - if you must stay closer to town, the Crowne Plaza offers a better guest experience or if you want something more modern, the Holiday Inn Express on Holliday Street - or you could top them all and stay at the Malmaison (The Mailbox) or the Staybridge Suites (Corporation Street)

my knowledge comes of numerous nights staying in Birmingham over the years

the same could be said by some people of both Manchester and London though
