Thanks, naughty night away for me and MrsSwitch

I feel sick now 😩
Just be aware Newcastle is a week or so away from lockdown. I wouldn't book to go to Newcastle anytime soon. Nowt against Newcastle (I live there).

Jurys is far from a good name, they should rebrand cos I genuinely thought this was a jury service related thing :/
Stayed there last week. It's quite nice. Parking is a bit of a nightmare though so be warned

It's actually really nice in there and at this price I recommend it

Almost staff rate.
Just to be aware there are 2 Jury’s Inns in Newcastle well 1 is actually on the Gateshead side of the Quayside, this is the nicer of the 2 however is a bit of a walk up hill into the City Centre, the other is more in the City Centre near the train station

I doubt it, South Shields and other local areas have been on the watch list for a number of weeks, Gateshead gone on this week so unlikely to happen, if it does happen it won’t be for a number of weeks yet

Makes me laugh how they try to sell it as 'Newcastle Quayside', no it's Gateshead. Anything good happens in the area it's Newcastle/Gateshead, anything bad, it's Gateshead.

As a resident of the Heed I think our side of the Quay has much more going for it and even more coming with the new arena etc. I wish they’d sort the roads out round there though

Always seems to be roadworks etc. I think they should consider the 'dark side's' free after 5 parking campaign too.

It's only a short walk over to the Pitcher and Piano though, then the world is your Oyster...
The new bar they have made out of old containers is decent on the Gateshead side where the tuxedo princess used to be

Yeah, the junction just after the tyne bridge on the Gateshead side is absolutely shocking. How is anyone supposed to navigate that if they're new to the area (including me )

That's a turn off, see what I did there 😜

Probably because Gateshead is a harder sell to people visiting tbh. Don't think that's right of course, because Gateshead has many of the things that people may be travelling to Newcastle for.

Just don't hear many people say they're going for a weekend break in gateshead much
I've never seen The Toon pubs so quiet, was there last Thursday, normally bouncing. Good deal though.
If booking through their website, be careful to check your credit card statement that the charges match the booking. I've had problems and can't get anybody to return my calls about it - website seems to be out-sourced and nobody knows how to operate a refund.
Neutral, but take care.
You said you were off to Newcastle? This seems a good deal
Good deal! So close to me also

I'm from Shields, somebody mentioned it's on the watch list! I know they've restricted toilet rolls in asda again
Anyone else having problems getting on to book through Newcastle

I'm not surprised you loved it, it is a fantastic city and the gateway to the great northumbrian coast and countryside.

The article says there’ll be restrictions put in place to avoid a lockdown, the government won’t lockdown because it’ll cost to much

The press and public love the Lockdown word now. What they are planning are some additional restrictions.
