Been tracking prices for the last 12 months, been to Vegas 10 times. This deal isn't so good. I got a week in Mirage and direct Virgin Flight for around £800, 7 nights and not 4. This deal is average at best. The Virgin sale is pretty poor IMHO.
Who was that booked through please. I’ve never been to Vegas so am open to suggestions and any help greatly appreciated.

Decent price but the casino is a bit seedy
Smart money gambles off the strip anyway, better odds on the games and cheaper buy ins

I go to Vegas twice a year and yes it's more expensive but you can still get great deals over there on food and drink. If you go to high end places you will be paying over $10 a drink but there are lots of places where you can get a beer for $3 and up. You can get meals for under $10 at restaurants and you can get meals for well over $100. Vegas is a huge place, if you do your research you can do Vegas on a budget without a problem. Please don't become put off by typical negative people saying its super expensive and everything is going down hill!!!. Go and have a great time in Vegas before the worst recession to ever hit Britain gets into full swing next year!!!(lol) (edited)

If you have never been to Vegas before I would really advise you stay as centre strip as possible, so Linq, Flamingo or Planet Hollywood from the above list. 4 days is ok but you'll probably spend most of the time if a jet lagged fog tbh. I personally find 6 days sufficient and always mix it in with a trip to California, Grand Canyon, Yosemite etc to extend my holiday

bit far to go for 4 nights , good price though
Trust me, you don't need any more than 4 nights in Vegas. 2 is enough.

for 4 nights?... Thats awful value.

Resort fees are a joke. Expensive to eat and drink. Smells of weed up and down the strip. Its a bit like marmite
Weed smells nothing like marmite - I've heard.

It takes 2-3 days to get over the jet lag for some . Done Vegas over 10 times . Recent trip was 10 nights at the New Conrad resorts world and the 2 nights at park MGM comped .
With flights that was £950 Solo .
Vegas isn’t the same place anymore.
    Weed everywhere,it stinks .
Prices for beers is over $12 a pint and over $20 a cocktail . Obviously if you gamble in nice casinos like the Cosmo or Resorts world you can get any drink comped .
Food also 40% more expensive than 3 years ago .
My Average breakfast was $25 with Tax and Tip . I don’t mind tipping as in the USA a lot .
But they are expecting 20-22.5% tip now .
Then don’t forget resort fees when checking out . Most hotels are hitting the $50 per night fee now . My resort world fee was around $500 .
    It’s a very expensive holiday now .
I find Cruising far better value and the new super ships have great entertainment and casinos with top notch food .
I looked at going for the F1 but the prices were crazy being close to the strip.
It will be mobbed so decided it was a bad idea and went for the cruise option instead.

Not a great deal. Love holidays are about the cheapest atm

Don't forget that when you get there, it is horrendously expensive. We're talking £14 a pint expensive.
Try buying a drink at a pool, I paid $50+ for 2 cocktails lol tho plenty of cheap drinking and eating if you look around.

Any recommendations to get to the Grand Canyon (without driving) from here for anyone that has been before
There's bus tours or you can take a helicopter. We used maverick when we went there in June.

Cheap steak dinner special at the Hotel California, at Main Street Station, is very good...at something like 3am, 3 course meal for $7.

Just a note with stops at LAX. There are no airside shuttles between terminals, You need to go exit through customs, go to the terminal and go through security again.

The virgin flights give you just over 2 hours. That's not a huge amount of leeway if the flight is delayed, there's a big queue at the at customs/security/both or if you or any of your group gets pulled aside for a detailed check.

Not a terrible offer, but not brilliant either. The Flamingo has some sh*tty rooms, which haven't been renovated yet, but the $20 usually trick works at reception so that's one way to ensure a decent room on arrival. The location on the Strip is good though.

The same goes with the Excalibur and Luxor. PH is decent enough, but I haven't tried the Linq.

If you've been to LV before and have a player's club card - like an MGM or Caesar's rewards card, then you might be better off checking online to see if you've got any comp room offers - and you don't have to be a high roller to get these offers - they tend to be available almost immediately. The room itself is 'free' and you just pay the resort fees (typically in the region of $40-45/night depending on hotel).

As an example, I'm am heading back in May for 5 nights and have comped my whole stay (between 2 hotels), so I'm just paying flights and resort fees. Total for flights and 5 nights accom was £493 (and I used a few Avois points to bring it down to just over £300).

As for the people saying how much prices have increased over the years - yes they have, but who honestly goes to LV expecting a cheap holiday?

You can still go to places like the Stage Door etc and get a beer for $1. Plus, it's Vegas - if you're doing it right, most of your drinks will be comped anyway whilst you're in a casino.

Food wise - you can eat as cheaply or as lavishly as you want, you just have to do a little research in advance to find the cheap eats.

As mentioned above, the smart money goes off-strip to gamble, eat and drink.

Never had an issue with the jet lag whilst out there. I'm usually too excited to let it hit me once I'm there Once I get home it's another story though! (edited)

Only the Grand Canyon is the only interest to me but its a good 3hrs away from the heart of LV.

    Too expensive for 4 nights

play for free and get rewards. I played on this for a good 12 months before we went and got a few free breakfasts and a show free. Not alot for 12 months of play but i never felt the urge to pay for more credits. You can pay for extra credits if you want to get rewards quicker.
