that picture looks like the studio apartment i had in portugal, every night stupid kids on stupid mopeds razzed up the very steep hill at the side of the complex.

until one night when i left a 5 litre puddle of vegetable oil on the road, that was a good night. for the last 4 days of my holiday there was no moped noises.

good price for a short get away, people should holiday in the UK to keep money in house, however when you see deals to fly somewhere hot and different cheaply, It puts people off holidaying in the UK.

especially when the cost of travelling from say manchester to cornwall in a 2 litre petrol car return journey i would guess would be around £120, ridiclous and puts most people off.

i voted hot for the deal though

    @brum

I think people are put off from holidaying in the UK now because it is just as expensive as deals you see for more exotic places.

I prefer holidaying in the UK myself but I can't afford it any more compared to about 3 years ago!

4 nights sets me back about £250 to stay in a lower-class, older caravan with Haven and thats WITH their 'offers'. I wouldn't dare stay in a caravan of theirs shortly before or after season, either - stayed in very early September a few years ago and it was so cold that it made me very ill and we had to leave early - and what made that laughable is that it was actually a very warm September that year. I suppose it doesn't help when the caravans have no heating in the bedrooms, though.

A deal like this is very hot, though - I'd be a bit iffy about going so early in the year, but for £75 and staying in somewhere like Cornwall, this is a steal. If I didn't live so far away I'd consider it myself.

although you have to ask the question of age if the seasoned ho is on holiday with her mum and dad.

the judge wont take kindly, the evidence was all there, the play area, you never saw her after 8pm, the booster seat in the parents car....

All joking aside, I regularly stay in big static caravans; the kids prefer them to hotels and this is a cracking deal. Definite heat (births or no births!)

We've been talking about moving down too. We mostly visit the North, Bideford and Barnstable, but are having another go down South next month :-)

Very good deal. We've been on lots of caravan holidays all over the British Isles and we've never had a bad one yet.
Probably the worst caravan was situated in a large puddle in the lake district - and flippin cold inside, but the spectacular scenery and connections with historical greats more than made up for it.
The best caravan we ever stayed in was Cayton Bay near Scarborough, brilliantly heated and comfy. Kids loved nearby Flamingo Park and everyone loved York - Scarborough wasn't too bad either.
As has already been mentioned pay attention to D/G and C/H - and avoid 'passes'.
Like many people we used the newspaper deals but they ended up costing more than a Spanish holiday. Leave it as late as possible before trying to book, and remember to haggle.

Sometimes we just don't realize how blessed we are to live on these islands. The sights, the history and the (vast majority of) people we meet do tend to make us feel happier.:)

Does anyone know how is the 'Milan' caravan - which seems to be the only one left at Sandymouth with this deal.

Older van, no central heating, no double glazing, plus I think you would have to book and share it with my family

Did you have the same opinion when the times were good and the average private sector wage was 20% + higher than the average public sector wage?

Great deal op, have some heat!

There are loads more deals to had on the bottom of the Hoseasons home page. Just click the holiday parks tab and scroll to the bottom of the page. Click 'View all special offers' then on the special offers page click the green 'View all offers' link. Many offers with at least 50% discount all around the UK. Definately recomend making sure you get a Double Glazed, Centrally Heated van no matter when you are going.
We take a caravan holiday like this at least twice a year to supplememt our 2 foreign holidays, we often enjoy these just as much as a week or two in the canaries.

Only been to Hendra park (Newquay)with Hoseasons, and isn't that good, Went on one of those newspaper deals and found it more expensive in the end than booking last minute with Haven, Park wasn't as good as the Haven's Perran Sands. Hoseasons caravan had mold on the floor, facilities weren't as good as Haven, good job there was a Morrisons just down the road for Food & drink as Hendra was very poor, we went home a day early.

If you want to stay when it is cooler make sure you hire a caravan with central heating and double glazing. We own a caravan on the Haven site in the Lakes and even in November/ March with the heating on they are very warm. Each room including toilet and shower room has radiatior. Warmer than our house!!!
