Just got back from looking at DVDs I wont buy at ASDA, and saw packs of 4 Sharpie marker pens at 87p each (yellow sticker, roll-back price). Not bad considering single black sharpies on the same shelf cost £1 each.

Plenty of colours (standard red, blue, green, black and more fun colours). Full size, not micro. Good deal for those who missed out on the Home Bargains deal or don't have one nearby.

Found in Wolstanton ASDA, but I'm well aware of how store-specific some deals can be (having travelled to and fro trying to find things before), so not sure if nationwide.

Phew, that was a lot of brackets (parentheses if you're a pedant).

Excellent price . I usually pay more than that just for 1!.

Hot - Excellent price for those without a Home Bargains near enough.

My face when I saw the item and price: :w00t:

Once I realised it was yet another Asda deal: :x

I wish they would hurry up and build one here!

You're not missing much - I've yet to find a single deal posted here that interested me at my ASDAs (have a choice of two, I'm spoilt). Hence why I was staring at pens

wish i knew about this dead earlier when i went.

but i grabbed Mirrors Edge for £3.00 from my local store - it was the last one; reduced from £13
not sure if it was store specific - maybe worth checking out if your going in for this deal

Are these pens safe for writing on blank discs?

Hope so, I've been doing it for ages! Yeah they're fine - I believe any felt tip is perfectly safe to write on discs. My best mate destroyed my import (and uncut) Silent Hill when he wrote a girl's number on it in biro in 1999. I still haven't forgiven him.

*reads above and realises it paints a good picture of my life. weeps*

Thanks. I wasn't sure because the packaging never claims it is suitable (maybe too strong?!), whereas you can buy pens that are designed only for marking discs. I've been relying on one such pen for years, so I'm always on the lookout for new ones!

poundland has the double ended sharpie pens at 4 for you guessed it a pound

Are these pens really all that good? Or do people only think they are because of clever marketing?

Shhh, don't give away the secret
To be honest I don't know. They're a good quality marker pen, and nice to write with, but I think they're usually vastly overpriced to begin with.

I am using this kind of CD/DVD Maker pens for long time and it's help to find my important files, so if you looking for these makers, I will recommend it.
