Use UNIDFRXMJ for 10% off to bring it to £35.99. Cheers OP, I'm always losing keys.
Celebrate the second stage of Google Assistant integration!
Previously, you could ask Google to "ring" your Tile.
Now you can ask Google where your Tile is ... (Ford Prefect would have one on his towel)

If the Tile is at home, you can use your Nest device to determine the last location your Tile was seen. For example, you may get a response like “Your keys were last seen today at 9pm near the Kitchen speaker.” And if you left your Tile somewhere else, the Assistant will tell you the street address of where your Tile was last seen based on Tile’s location services.

Announced by Google 2 days ago. Rollout to the UK, when?

Nice one, ordered
do these require a monthly subscription?
Are these all linked or could I give one to my mum and she'd be able to register it to use seperste from the others?

You would be able to register to more than one account
OOS

OOS

Available (according to website) for delivery AND in-store at both my own nearest store and Wimbledon (for my brother).
So not OOS everywhere at this point.

No

They don't REQUIRE a subscription, functioning local and wide-area without, but there are some extra benefits if you subscribe (which I think is a bit expensive).

The Tiles are not linked to one another. You link them to phones. This is just a multi-pack, rather than a set.

You'd need to add a cheapie to take it over their £40 free delivery threshold.
Ballpen, pencil sharpener and ruler are each 99p, if you wanted one of those, but I spotted some cellophane for 40p among their 'packing materials"... and stopped bothering to look further!

I have always been intrigued but skirted around the idea of buying one of these. What are typical use cases for these? Please can somebody sell it to me with an everyday example?

Is it one of those things i never knew I wanted until I got it...... or just pointless tat that will be in my man-drawer in a few weeks time?

Attach one to something you might mislay or lose. When you use the App, you can make the Tile 'ring' if within Bluetooth range. Got the Tile and lost the phone? Press the button and ring the phone. Out of range? Then you can see on a map where and when it was last in-range of you or another Tile App user.
Don't put it in the drawer, attach it to something, keys, wallet, wife, pets, granny's handbag, luggage... and don't waste time hunting. They make stick-on button and credit-card versions, as well as the longer range and louder 'pro'.
Needs a new watch battery (£1-50?) every year, otherwise forget your keyfob is special until you need it.

I lose my keys all of the time. They're on my keyring and I can locate it via the app and it makes a sound.
No click and collect that I can see ?

Me neither. There's stock in store but not online for click and collect so you can't use the code to drop these to £35.99

About a year ago I misplaced my car keys in a car park in Scotland. I was putting on boots and coveralls to go to work. I stripped all my tools and equipment out of the boot looking for them. Then put everything back. Stripped out the junk in the rest of the car looking for the keys, still no luck. I was about 180 miles from home.
Took everything back out of the boot, then started raking through the various toolbags and toolboxes. No luck.
After (IIRC) an hour, maybe 90mins of emptying/ putting back all the tools and PPE into the the car I found the keys. In my back pocket.
Finished work that day, drove to Halfrauds and bought one of these for £15 or £16.

I think it's one of those gadgets that you won't need, and forget you bought.

*Until you need it*.

At which point it becomes indispensable, and worth 10 times its cost.

BUT the 2020 version has just come down to £42 on Amazon - hmm. time to do a bit of research and see if saving £2 per unit is worth it....

Yeah, the more I read, the less I think I should drop £40 on 4. I guess at least if I got them through Amazon and they're not fit for task I can return them. I thought you'd be able to locate them by gps but I was wide of the mark, they only really seem any good when it comes to setting the alarm to find them, ie if you put your keys down and cant remember where. For me, I'd want something for when I'm traveling.

Exactly my thoughts, I don’t want to rely on another tile user being near whatever I’m trying to locate. If you’ve dropped your keys walking up Ben Nevis a tile isn’t going to be much use
