Using these for the first time in Winter?
My advice if buying this sort of item in the Winter is to bring them inside at first and place them near a window that gets sunlight for a day or 2. Outside, try and place them in a position that will be in sunlight when it is out. They still charge OK with Winter sun. Set them to be totally off until triggered (Mode 3 on these). Unrealistic to expect solar lights to be on all the time in the UK, even at the height of Summer. We just don't have the climate for that.

sorted bybefore I start sticking trial holes in wall to find out what’s best height for light and for the motion sensor thought easier to ask on here

seem to arrive with fair bit of charge in them
initial thought is bright and look pretty good for a fiver each. My woodstores and bin shed are going to be like a Xmas tree. I was sick of stumbling around in dark or using a torch and would of been a lot of effort to run mains cables to them as opposed to using solar ones
