I wouldn't get the MW3's since they only have a 100mbps port
Conflicting reviews on whether this has a bridge mode or not. Seems it creates its own subnet for Wi-fi clients. Trouble when connecting this kit to an existing router.

Get a single mw6 to go with these and it lets you take advantage of speeds above 100mb over WiFi. You must connect the mw6 as the primary. Useful if you have virgin media.

It creates its own mesh mode. It has a bridge mode. The best way to setup is to put your ISP supplied box into modem mode and let this run as your router and wifi

I have a very feature rich Draytek route which I don’t want to replace. I want a Mesh system to just extend my existing LAN out via WiFi, nothing more.

The reviews I’ve read suggest this wants to create its own subnet (ie create its own IP range) which I don’t want.

It has bridge mode.
In bridge mode, your nova can only access the internet only after connected to a router with internet connectivity.
In bridge mode, the guest network, parental control, port forwarding, upnp, dns, qos and dhcp server functions become unavailable.

Interesting, thanks. Seems it will do what I want.

Yes but the other ones won't be able to handle 100mbps+ unless your connecting them wirelessly but to get those speeds to the repeater over WiFi you won't even need one of these.

This is the message I get on my nova although never used it in bridge mode as need parental control
I got 3 for £48 from AliExpress. Great job. I don't need huge speeds so these suit perfectly. Thumb up for the comment about getting an MW6 and connecting as the primary cube, very good advice.

The MW5 comes with a master node with gigabit ports and 2 wall plug clients both with fast ethernet, might be a cheaper option available from Currys...
Ordered thanks look forward to trying them, may well get a single mw6 as a primary if I'm happy my current WiFi is crap (plusnet fibre)

Hate adapter my Xiaomi smart home setup is all plugged into a Xiaomi Chinese extension cable which I wired to a 3a plug so much nicer but 4 dotted around the house is to much hassle, how far apart did you place them I'd you don't mind me asking
I'd say no more than 3.5-4 metres apart. One in living room, master one in dining room where the router is (on a bookcase) and final one in the front bedroom. Get 3 bars everywhere now where my Nintendo Switch would get one bar only in the bedroom previously.
