There seems to be a lot of people selling them for the same price or cheaper. Not sure why this is hot?

We have the 3 tread version of this, and it weighs a ton ! youll need a crane for this one.. as its made of steel.

Awesome! Thanks for posting, I've been looking for a cheap set of step ladders for a while

I bought something like this recently.
Good point are its big and sturdy and lots of step for your feet to rest on.
Bad points is heavy and needs a large footprint so no good for tight spaces. Also it cant be used when down flat (as the threads fold up as well) so you cant rest it against a wall as you can in the one in the image "this is my step ladder".

For the same materials, The heavier the ladder the better and thus the more expensive they are as they use more materials. More importantly they are more stable.

The description says its constructed of iron and plastic....no mention of steel.

Sorry, quoted wrong post..

According to decription, this isn't made of steel.

ebay ID 252732812877 seems to be same item, 5p cheaper

I see you ditched chemistry...

I know someone who owns this model. Its surprisingly un-reassuring to stand on (it sways a bit) considering it's made from Steel.

And it's VERY heavy I would never trade my aluminium steps for this.

Try this one for a fiver more from Screwfix.

It's lightweight, but very sturdy.

Good finding. Just be aware with Screwfix you will still need to deliver it by yourself.
Normally, this type of ladder can not be disassembled. With 4 steps I do not know how could you possibly deliver it by yourself without a van ??

This guy on eBay will deliver it to your door for free at this price.

I have no idea how the ebay guy does it, including delivery! That would cost me around a tenner to arrange, so with ebay costs that wouldn't leave much room for him paying for the ladder and making a profit.

Screwfix will deliver for £5, or it's free if you buy other stuff from them making the order up to £50.

In practice, though, it wasn't a problem to get this step ladder in my fairly small car. It goes in the front passenger footwell with the seat reclined, IYSWIM. It would easily fit in a hatchback.
