Thought this was a really good price for what you get and could also double as a Christmas shopping break too?

You get one night stay for 2 people at the 4 star Radisson Blu in Durham with full breakfast, late checkout, spa access and 25% off all food and drink that you buy while you are there. Usually offers like this only include food but this is drinks as well - winner!

You will get full access to the gym, sauna, jacuzzi and swimming pool and the hotel is in the city centre within walking distance of all the attractions although wear some good shoes as the streets are mostly cobbled!
They have some good shopping centres and outlets in Durham too with Prince Bishops being in the city and Dalton Park is a short drive away with more than 60 outlet and discount shops. Good for a break and a bit of Christmas shopping? They are also having a Christmas festival between 30th November and 2nd December if you fancy that.

Prices from £69 but you book the date you want on the actual Wowcher site so no having to ring up and check availability. Dates from now until 29th December.

Heres a link to the restaurant and bar list so you can see the prices - very reasonable and even more reasonable with an extra 25% off

Very nice hotel but make sure you factor in the cost of parking if using the hotel car park.
Or park on the on street parking directly outside the hotel, free after 6pm Monday-Saturday until about 8am the next morning and free all day Sunday .
Shocking when hotels charge for parking, I refuse to book with them again. It's usually for work but I ask them to find a free parking option. Even tho they are paying.

Even at the weekend?
Good deal. No, there is no work on a weekend.
Just a shame about the accent of the locals.
If you go try Beamish museum beamish.org.uk

True Durham city locals, dont have accents unlike their geordie and mackem counterparts.
Love the Radisson hotels, superb price.

Aren’t true Durham city locals basically uni students?
Not sure what the parking is but the train station is £13.50 Friday to Monday with a £4 taxi to get to the hotel

Well, they do take up a good chunk of the populous during term time. So good point! Many accents can be found in Durham City centre.

Where are you from?
Durham locals have a very normal sounding accent and easy to understand unlike some other accents in the northeast. One of the Most beautiful little place in NE. Very rich in culture. It's a shame they are modernising the city

What an idiot , Accents make the area you are visiting even more enjoyable.
Durham is a beautiful place and one I would have no problems visiting again .
Daft question but does anyone know if you can book 2 nights at this price per night?
I am from Durham and love my "normal" accent. The hotel is very nice, 2 min walk from the main city areas. Parking is not too expensive on the road and free after 6pm.

yes building works next door, but not at night and weekends - so not an issue.

Some view from the hotel overlook the cathedral and castle - alt - walk out the the hotel - cross the foot bridge and walk 8 mins.
Thought the breakfast at this hotel was amazing. Heck even the porridge was best I've ever tasted.
