High quality, safe and durable too, and complies with all the relevant British Standards, including BS 1363 for plug sockets.

£1 for a fire starter?
Heated though I very much doubt the high quality comment!
Often when I want one of these, I go to my local Poundland and they don't have them. When they do, I don't need them!

I have had no quality issues with the Poundland ones I do use though.

very short lead
Waiting for the price drop
likely to blow up
This will get very hot...

...the dodgy wiring, not the deal
this has burn baby burn all over it
If it's passed all relevant BS safety certification (which it will have done to be allowed on sale in the UK), then it'll be as safe as any other extension lead.

Very common in all the pound shops till recently when I wanted one and no were to be seen, have to nab a few.
Been in Poundland (and 99p stores) for years.
Laughable to see people's comments about it bursting in to flames, do they really think more expensive options come from different suppliers?

I had a poundland one that did short circuit and die. Inside the extension the wirings plastic sheath melted causing the short (ripped the extension apart to find out why it died). Inside was all charred and black. Nothing caught on fire, but in different circumstances who knows?

They're without question very poorly made. Rushed through for high volume with minimal, if any, quality control hence the low price. Never had this kind of issue with non-poundland extensions.

Yes. I cant believe people try and save a few quid on buying one of these cheaply made death traps (where "CE" means china export, and "BS" probably means beijing surplus). You only have to hold one of these in 1 hand, and a 5 quid Masterplug (argos deal 2 weeks back) in the other to see the difference. Failing that, watch this video to see how good quality cheapo extensions are: youtube.com/wat…oW0

It could happen in any brand and price. Meeting BS will mean they are meeting minimum requirement.
I do not believe the one you buy from Tesco, Wilko, ASDA etc for about £5 regular price will be better than this. It could even be worse if there sis not any BS compliance in it ....

Of course thing will be different if you buy from high end retailer and well known brand but this will cost you a fortune ...

I'm no electrician but another plug that's 8£ might do more the minimum standards, I might be wrong but sometimes rather be extra safe?
