USB 1.1

Be aware that USB 1.1 means it's slow and should only be used for things such as basic keyboards and mice. Pretty much every storage solution (hard drives, flash drives etc.) will be slowed greatly by this rather than a USB 2.0 option.

I think this is the only place for a quid but you get what you pay for :P

Also I doubt if this is powered so, not only will it be slow, it may not work with more demanding peripherals like portable HDs.

last one of these my dad brought(even after i told him not to) over volted his laptop USB and burnt out the port it was plugged into.....Avoid

Been in Poundland for a few years.Using one myself.
It's USB 2.0 and runs a TV tuner, charger and card reader fine.

Exactly, how on earth is this a deal. Cheap poor quality item that has been available for years at this price. Look; some items in poundland are o.k but tools and these type of things are just very poor quality and really are not even worth the pound they sell for. You pay a fair bit of money for a computer and plug in this thing. Mmmm

Not USB 2. I bought, tried. Like cheap Chinese imports it is limited to USB 1.x speed (it 48 times less than USB 2). Easy to measure. Keeep your receipt.

If you want a USB hub and you get one that is USB2 then this is good value, I have one and it works fine, however as others have mentioned many of these in Poundland are USB1.1 and they are really slow no matter how fast the peripheral that you use with a USB 1.1 hub is.

You lot make me laugh; this thing is a pound and your all going on like it costs more than that..LOL

Its just a pound!!!!! oO

Do you think you could personally make this at any better quality for a pound?

Type (A) USB Socket Connectors would cost you more than a £1 if you were buying them cheap from china and cost you £1.49 each if you were buying them from Maplins.

http://www.maplin.co.uk/usb-1.1-sockets-219685?ordercode=N94FK

If you tried to build this with the cable, components and moulded plastics it would cost you nearer £15-20 regardless of its speed and not including your labour time.

Half of you cant appreciate that as your born in a generation reliant on the likes of China turning out cheap products at ridiculous prices, your expectations are way to high for what your paying.

If you can build this for less than £1 at this standard send me a PM and I'll employ you to do so, if not give it the heat it deserves and stop being so pathetic over a £1 LOL X)

Sorry for being a bit thick but mine says Zoom Wireless USB Adaptor #2, does that mean it is a USB 2?

They've had these or something similar in stock for ever. If you're really lucky you might find a Belkin USB 2, but lighten up you guys, it's a £1!

cheap rubbish!

Cheap USB 1.1 hub remember seeing these for at least 4 years at same price. COLD.
