Just done this today.I am a previous subsriber to MyMovieStream and this did not matter.Joined at 3.00 pm and 3 movies were dispatched to me within a couple of hours.The £5 wilkinson online voucher was also emailed to me with my subscription confirmation.

Edit:I also went through quidco to MyMovieStream,pasted and copied the wilkinson link and then joined.I now have £6 tracking in quidco for MyMovieStream in 2 seperate entries of £5 each for some reason.So if all works out,4 weeks free rentals of unlimited 3 discs at a time,£5 voucher and £6 quidco cashback all for free.

First course of action would be to ring them on 0808 141 0405 (10am-5pm Mon-Fri) and ask them why.It could be just an error.
