The one in Binley, was a few left and there wasa few 8' x 6' but you had to buy the base separate and they were £30 each

Thanks a lot. On my way

My god that's a bargain could sell it on eBay for more

Meccano for adults!

Its just the frame...

You can often get frames for free from Gumtree etc. It's the horticultural glass or acrylic that's going to cost quite a bit. Normal glass isn't ideal.

think it was £35 for a set of no2 glass and £25 for the set of no 4 glass you need for the frame, at least that's the glass it said you needed on the banner.

couldn't see the other frames very clearly as a huge trolley was parked cunningly in front of them.

Got the frame for £30 and 3 packs of glass (no 2 and no 4) for £95 from another B&Q. Now wondering if it is the right glass, might ask the hubby to start putting it up now Thanks for the post. Heat added.

Hope the hubby can put it up !

There's a couple of 4x6 (couldn't see a price) and a couple of 8x6 at £30 in Chorley if it helps anyone.

yes that's right bought one this morning was £30 for the frame and £95 for the glass 2x no2 packs and one no4 pack.

also checked if I could take any glass back that was broken since you cant really check the sealed packs, said that's ok :).

just got to get some postcrete to cement the base down after making sure its squared away otherwise the glass wont fit so ive been told.

Does this have any shelfs on the inside?

im putting mine up tomorrow but id guess there's no shelves inside it.

any1 found glazing for them?
can I use policarbon instead of glass?

no not unless you can find 3mm polycarbonate (not sure it would work) but 3mm horticultural glass is what the packs contain.

the glass packs are usually stored near the greenhouses, the packs are stood up wrapped in white cardboard.

Hillsborough Sheffield has plenty of glass packs left, you could buy horticultural glass or tempered glass off ebay, just those upper triangular pieces that may be hard to locate.

think the others square ones are 610mmx610mm but would have to check.

there are no more glass packs for this greenhouse in my B&Q, but 4 packs of frame and base only that's why have to look for something else, otherwise will cost me a fortune to buy replacement glass

that's seems a bit expensive, sheets of glass from ebay are about £2.50 for horticultural to £3.00 each for tempered glass, which is about the same as the b&q packs.

all seem to be pickup only which may be a problem if you have no transport or they are far away.

would work out around £100 for the glass so you might want to wait and see if you can get a full polycarbonate greenhouse cheaper.

they had these in the leigh store yesterday afternoon. had about 3 or 4. had packs of glass next to em to for 15 quid

1 left in hermiston gate Edinburgh
3 was left in livingston one across from Morrison yesterday

hermiston gait also have the 8 x 6 frame for £30, no base though

hi, how is your greenhouse looking? Was it difficult to put up? Thanks

wasn't that hard some of the instructions are a bit vague, took me a couple of hours yesterday to put the frame together and a few hours the day before to get the base square and level plus concreted in.

one of the parts had a dent in it and another was bent a bit, just got to adjust the door runner then I can put the rubber in and then glaze it. hopefully it will be nice enough weather tomorrow to put the glass in and put the door on.

Does the base come in a separate box or the same as the frame?

We were told these were to clear and the glass was still full price as the new model would use them so well done to anyone who got the glass cheap

yes there are 2 large cardboard boxes in the larger orange waterproof box, one has the base in it and the other the frame.

my greenhouse was complete no missing parts. one of my glass packs has some broken panes in it, just got one other pack to check.

am I right thinking you haven't bought any glass yet, its not a bad plan theres less chance of em getting broken while being stored.

That is correct, as we were told the glass will still be current I decided to leave and buy fresh, that way if there were any breakages they would be under warranty. I may even source some cheaper although made to fit at £95 is reasonable. Picking up a friendly pensioner on a Wednesday might also be an option.

I am struggling to find a hiding space for the box though!

finished it, put in the glass at last. did find the glass packs a bit of a problem, had to take one of the packs back twice because of broken glass in them.

id examine them carefully before buying them, still I had no trouble taking them back. also water had gotten into the packs making it difficult to separate the panes of glass, had to be very careful while doing that.

I had 3 panes that had little nicks out of the bottom edge/corners but they're hidden away and shouldn't hurt anything.

the no2 glass packs are the 610x610 panes that go around the sides and are the first panes on the bottom edge of the roof plus 2 triangular ones for the end of the green house. the other 4 sheets for the roof are in the no4 glass pack along with assorted other odd shaped bits.

I did the roof first 4 w clips per pane on the bottom ones I also put 2 s clips to rest the higher pane of glass on, then more or less repeated it around the side.

I put the glass in on my own, wasn't too hard just took a long time and gave me a sore thumb from putting the w clips in.

im very happy with the finished result, don't think a polycarbonate one would have looked as good or been as sturdy.

Hi Eddy64

I have a quick question if that's ok? I Have bought this greenhouse but on the pack it says :' 1 strap G1 of 6 missing'.

Do you have any idea what this is?

its one of the bracing strips its nothing fancy and should be replaceable, in the picture of my greenhouse you can see them running diagonally on either side of the door to the outer part of the frame. hope that's clear enough, let me know if you have any other questions.

is this the correct sizes for the 6x4 greenhouse

google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&ei=xdIEVI6pFtHjapfRgbAO&url=http://www.gardman.co.uk/sites/default/files/products/instruction_sheets/08850-1-2_Alum_Greenhouse_Glazin_Instructions.pdf&cd=4&ved=0CC8QFjAD&usg=AFQjCNFCQuVdXRLU1AMSml8AU2A9JKcOTQ&sig2=oYhqtUHBji4vFzUvSnBWQw

got a 2 month old baby and was hoping of getting polycarbonate or toughened glass for it as the greenhouse will just be in the back garden next to the fence and easily accessible to stones, footballs, and probably him himself so don't really want to go with the normal glass.

Anyone found the glass for cheaper if I had to go down that route?

well im not sure polycarbonate sheeting would fit this greenhouse, possibly but may need some silicone on the clips to hold it in.

tempered glass sheets are about £3.50 each on ebay, might be tricky to get all the glass cut to the right size.

heres the correct manual for this greenhouse:-

gardman.co.uk/sit…pdf

the glass packs are half price atm in b&q Hillsborough Sheffield, just saw them when I went to buy some compost. might be nationwide I dunno.
