I think these are a bargain myself?? Found these this morning in the Selby branch so hopefully they'll be nationwide? A great stocking filler for christmas! In screwfix these are £8.97. Even on ebay these are more expensive!

I'll be popping down to Home bargains to stock up for Christmas, thanks:santa:

Yes, they're the exact same ones.

At 2000mAh they are quite low capacity for rechargables nowadays. Not a bad price, but probably could get a better deal shopping around.

These don't appear to be the newer low self discharge type which takes the edge of them being a bargain imo.

Where?

Lots of batteries CLAIM to be higher capacity than 2000Mah - but i've found the Energizer batteries to be of good quality and this is a really good price.

In Bizarro World probably. ;-) Decent capacity and great price equals hot deal, surely?

But could you get the newer types this cheap?

thats is a good bargin

these arent the best for cameras as their are with more capacity 2700 etc but there great for remote controls etc.

No, absolutely useless for remote controls, where you only change the batteries once a year or so - these will self-discharge far more quickly than that.

Instead, they are ideal for high-drain applications like digital cameras. As has been pointed out, people put far too much emphasis on the capacity figure - it is the "silly number" like megapixels on cameras which you mustn't fall for. My hunch is that the higher capacity ones will wear out more quickly with repeated charging, and my experience, like others', is that the capacity figure doesn't mean much to begin with.

Only if you use them in applications where it makes any difference - i.e. where you'd only change batteries every few months.

that price is fantatic for 2000s, especially to say theyre energizer

Saw these today in Quality Save, great price, voted hot

Got some earlier. Cheers!

No one has a usage crystal ball though even over two weeks some recharging would be necessary. I think there is a slim case for buying high capacity old gen batterys, but not for these of similar capacity. Each to their own I guess.

SIZZLING HOT!
i recently moved house and my family chucked our old battery reacharger away, it was a very good quality but bulky one, with space for 8 of any sized batteries.

Any thanks for alerting me to these batteries OP, but can anyone tell me a good deal for a charger that would work well with these. Im looking for something that has space to charge at least 4 at once.

I went to the York store today and they too have them! (Clifton Moor store) So I got some more!!!

Are these still available? I'm nowhere near a store being down south but I'll be off up north in a couple of weeks time.
