The Michelin Pilot Sport 4 is a high performance tyre, developed with input from BMW, Mercedes, Audi and Porsche. Michelin have designed the Pilot Sport 4 tyre with dynamic response technology - their use of Aramid and Nylon in the makeup of the tyre helps to ensure that the tyre is continually conforming to the contours of the road, delivering the best traction available for the conditions. The tyre's tread compounds has been derived from Michelin's extensive experience in key motorsport events - such as Formula E and World Rally Championship. The Pilot Sport 4 has a tyre compound featuring a unique blend of elastomers and hydrophobic Silica which helps the tyre to remain flexible - delivering excellent wet grip and reliable braking performances. The tyre's wide longitudinal grooves work to disperse surface water from the road surface, reducing the risk of aquaplaning.

sorted byA while back I got a parking ticket because my car was 20cm out of the bay. However, the idiot traffic warden broke my windscreen wiper putting the ticket on as shown in their own photos.
It only needed to be screwed back on but obviously I wasn't going to do it myself so went to F1 Autocentres who regassed my air con for free but charged me £35 to screw the wiper back on.
Went to the council parking office, paid my £35 parking ticket, gave them the £35 invoice, and walked out with a £35 postal order from the council.
So I can highly recommend them - did a great job
Should’ve gone back. Balancing is a minor issue that’s easily resolved.
Anyone have any experience of how they compare?
And risk mine, my wife and my kids life?? When the only thing connecting you to the road is a contact patch the same as a postcard, going cheap on tyres is a big no no.
Clever trick that, defrauding your community from the funds their taxes contribute to. Nice person!
I've always had a great experience with the rainsport 3's and get tens of thousands of miles out of them, but that was on my old car so not sure how they'd perform on new car at these sizes.
I don't think I'm quite ready for new tyres though, so may have to hope a similar offer like this is on when I'm ready.
You never charged them for your time...
Miles better ‘apparently’ I always use rs3s, but yeah these should be better than uniroyals
So you still were out of pocket as you had to pay the £35 fine didn’t think they still had postal orders these days
20cm is a lot, might need your mirrors screwing back on too.
A big fan of the uniroyal tyres too. Tyrereviews.co.uk should have some good user data for comparisons sake
What? - I understand the rear tyre tread is pretty important but in the 30+ years I've driven I've never lost the back end unless:
1/ I was driving on ice or oil
2/ I was driving like a bell end
3/ I was driving a MK2 rear wheel drive Escort estate from 1979
I did yesterday, there is a very slight less rubber touching the ground, and very slightly lower profile, but we are talking a few mm
After going to head office, i received the card the other day
Also realised they didn’t balance mine after 2 weeks. When I took it to another tyre place
Did you go straight back? Some people don't know what it feels like when the wheel wobbles they think it's normal
I drive different cars all the time and you'd hate to see how many have tracking out and I mean a mile out, people just get used to it
My tyres are 16
Honestly I hated uniroyal rs3 I found the side wall far too soft and made my car feel unstable at high speeds. But these pilot sport 4s are leagues above, they are 1 of if not the best performance tyre in its class for the road they are great in the wet and dry and a decent stiff side wall.
These are much better. Rainsport 3 are the most overrated tyre on the internet. These will last for longer too.
Another fan for RS3's here too. Didn't grate the PS3's when they were new and came out fitted to the car I had. Understeered badly. But I'll accept the car has a lot to do with this.
If they were a similar price i would probably go for the PS4's.
