This method works a treat, and I'm not taking the pith!

The truth is: they dont
Just got 4 for £1 in Morrisons. Not the biggest but they taste nice.
Last time I got them from Morrisons they were small and the insides were white
oh wow , i love these things !!

i can live off them !!

i can eat 4 a day easily !! cut into x4, pick up a quarter open mouth and bite , OOOOOOOOOOOOOO yessssssssssssss

I remember buying these as a child on the way to school as a playtime snack, round about 10p each back then!!
If you like them, enjoy.

But the health claims are OTT. It contains vitamin C...and there are plenty who will exploit that to the max, for ££££ and pseudo science.

A few yrs ago, it was cranberries that were the magical fruit. These phases come and go, don't be sucked in by the hype (_;)

It's not pseudo science, there are plenty of scientific studies which prove them to induce apoptosis (cell death) in cancer cells. This fruit has played a part in many different civilisations over thousands of years, and it's health benefits have been proven. These phases don't come and go, cranberries are still chemopreventative.
Also, the cancer prevention has nothing to do with vitamin C, it is thought to be because of metabolites from Punicalagin, an ellagatanin from the fruit.

lol top marks for effort mate.
Its health benefits most certainly haven't been proven; theres a difference between killing cells in a plastic dish as preventing cancer in a human being. Some scientists have decided to investigate the effects and further studies are probably warranted (although why they didn't do it right the first time is a mystery)

And dont forget lots of crazy therapies have been used for thousands of years such as bloodletting, doesnt mean they work.

Was just about to mention that

So was I.
I was about to mention that its not true either; why are people making so much stuff up on this thread

Here s a study showing pomegranate extracts damage DNA:
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pub…756
I love this fruit. Very tasty and brilliant when making a cool, refreshing drink when the days are long and hot! Voted :).

Actually if you were to use the whole fruit you would find the skin of it is damaging to the taste buds but the fruit inside it would cure a damaged heart and put a smile on your face.
Therefore it's also very good for your heart.. lol
The op was correct with @ Aldi. No apostrophe necessary.
Sorry but not very tasty

If you like these fruits then ok, eat them. Just don't buy them if you expect some magical properties. They won't deliver. Your comments are misleading. Cranberries do not prevent cancer.

If it did work with laboratory results then the price wouldn't be 4 for £1 or even one for £1! Spend an hour to read and view this, it has a far better chance of being effective and cuts your food shopping bill but at least 50%. Also it has got to be specific fruits and vegetables that you eat, it is any commonly available ones, usually bright coloured ones.

Watch this Horizon Programme, bbc.co.uk/new…549 the chance of getting cancer diet cuts calorie and protein consumption to at least 50%! This programme is also on youtube.

Unfortunately that Horizon about calorie restriction was full of BS. Massively oversimplified and playing upon attention grabbing lines. No where near enough information to make any kind of informed decision. It's not actually calorie or even protein restriction, that theory is over 2 years out of date. It's the amino acid methinione that is the likely culprit. Cut that, even with normal protein/calorie intake, and you get similiar/same effects. 1pound for 4 in morrisons

50p each in our Morrisons supposed to been reduced from £1.50 each, but I wouldn't buy any more from there they were tasteless, hardly any colour to the flesh even tho the fruits skin looked well ripened, saying that our morrisons fruit always seem 2b naff.
