These things usually cost £10-15 each from lighting websites and they are usually 3W. These are 5W and at £3.25 each, work out cheaper than getting them direct from China.

I have been browsing light bulbs as you'll see from my other post. After buying some standard GU10 LED bulbs, I fancied adding a bit more colour to my life.

They plug into standard GU10 sockets and each come with a remote that allows you to change the colour, make them flash etc. Bear in mind that as quidmaster has said in the comments below, the light output on these is not like normal GU10 LED bulbs. They are more for parties / mood lighting / novelty use. If you have them on full brightness, set to white colour, you'd probably get about 30 - 40% the light you do from a normal GU10 LED bulb of the same wattage. However, these of course flash, change colour and have a strobe setting too so swings and roundabouts...

If you look on eBay the same seller does them in other quantities too but the four pack seems one of the best value.

Only good for mood lighting as low output. Nonetheless, good price for them.

Yes indeed and I won't bore anybody with why that's the case although you'd need a caffeine overdose before calling the strobe setting 'mood lighting' (_;)

You can get 10w versions of these now but they work out about 9 quid each and stick out of recessed sockets.

Thanks; altered.

I wonder why such a cold rating. That always worries me when I've bought a product myself!

Smooth/fade option is good. But light output is low. And white is more blue/purple!

I have them now and yes the light output is low compared to normal LED bulbs of the same wattage. They work well though and the white light is definitely white. It's a 'cool white' light as opposed to the more natural warm white from some bulbs. Has somebody found them cheaper by the way? I don't understand why the rating is so cold!
