4 x Toyo TR1 Proxes Tyres - 195 50 15 82V For £109.79 @ DemonTweeks / Ebay

Great price for 4 tyres!!

Toyo TR1 Proxes 225/45/17 94Y - £171.97

  • Excellent grip
  • Built in wear indicator
  • Outstanding wet performance

The Toyo Proxes TR1 is the follow-up to the ever popular T1-R tyre. Like its predecessor, this is a high performance road tyre offering outstanding grip and handling. Toyo have significantly improved wet handling on grip on the newer tyre though. The new tread pattern is designed to clear standing water out of the way and drain much more efficiently. This gives it vastly enhanced all-weather capability.

The Toyo Proxes TR1 is designed with a firmer sidewall and tread pattern that deforms less under cornering for better grip and handling, even on heavier cars.

I've tried all sizes and 15 inch is the best sized wheel for small hatches.

Oh man, nothing for my 19" rims unfortunately. Just came here to put this comment so everyone knows I have big wheels and everyone is jealous of them.

Brillaint price but i didnt personally rate these tyres lile the reviews make out. Still better than the plastic crud you find either way
Excellent price compared to your local tire center.
Have some well deserved heat.
Fit tr1s these to my MR2 (diff size mind), they're excellent, grip is amazing, no more facing the wrong way when exiting an island in the wet. Slight decrease in mpg I can live with
Very good road tyre specially for lighter cars, when pushed hard the soft sidewall doesnt inspire confidence but this is at the extreme. At this price they are very hard to beat for normal driving

These came on my ep3 type r a few years ago, I thought they were terrible in the wet. I replaced them with Goodyear Eagle f1s that were less than £15 more each and much much better.
Wow what a great price
Wish I'd bought these.

You sure they were the recently released TR1 & not the old T1R?.

They will show £128.17 before you apply the 15% eBay discount which is still available. Stand corrected
Prefer the Cf2 over the Tr1 had them on my Clio for years and always good in the wet. Just ordered 2x CF2 in 215/45/16 £108.19 for the Ibiza so we'll see if theyre as good as the Avons ZV7 or Dunlop Sportmaxx. Local trye shop wanted £84 each fitted and only charge £10 to fit and balance if bought else where, So £40 better off.
Fuel efficiency: E, wet grip: C for anyne wondering.

I have 15" on my small car and it's fine. Although I would have wanted the manufacturer to fit bigger tyres on them to begin with. Mine is 4 years old. But I have seen fiesta now have 205 with 17" wheels for the 1.0 petrol model. 205 is great for a small car, but 17" is too big imo.
I know these get rave reviews but I absolutely hated them. Found General Tires and Avons much better in terms of grip.
Personally I'd go for better tyres. These are overrated although this is very cheap it actually reflects the quality.

Be warned, demon tweeks have poor stock. Took about 6 weeks for my eBay delivery of a set of tyres, and if you have any problems, don't expect responses to be quick. Took them weeks to reply to my emails.
Thanks. Ordered 4 x 16 inch from same seller for £148 delivered
Cheap for a reason.

Just spend more and get better, particularly given the season we are approaching.

/Looks at 20" wheels on car and smirks.

/Looks at the rest of the car "Fertility Wagon" and reassesses life choices.

They would have been T1R not TR1

T1R are terrible
Had a set of TR1s on my old fabia VRS. Awesome in the wet. Horrendous wear.

Can anyone reccommend me very good quality tyres for a ford fiesta titanium?

Obviously that are on offer too

Cheers!
bought these last time they were on offer.
Definitely not as grippy as my previous tyres but they're pretty decent

Think you'll find these new TR1's are now B for wet grip.
The older T1R's had 2 variations - C and E for wet. I always used to have the C's and found them to be fine. Personal opinion, but I reckon the E rated ones got them a bad rep, quite a few poor reviews saying how dangerous they were. Fair enough, but I guess there were lots of people not realising there were better rated ones too and may have been put off by the negative reviews

There is lots. I put some Goodyear Eagle F1's on my wife's B-MAX (basically a fiesta) not too long ago Just shop around, e.g. camskill, blackcircles even quick-fit have offers.

Yes they cost more but it's a no brainer in my opinion. Why would you chose a lesser quality performance in the wet to save £15?

PS. I must add, I don't really know what the "true" difference is between A and C grip rating, however I always go to Eagle F1's.

Michelin and Goodyear are the tyres to go for. What are your tyre sizes?
