Not exactly my cup of tea so don't shoot the messenger but I'm sure this will be of interest to those in the market for a bargain basement 4K telly and able to get to Bishop's Stortford today, but today only!

The Stortford branch of Aldi has just reopened after a facelift/extension and this non branded TV is on special at half price for the day.

Plenty in stock about half hour ago according to a neighbour of my mum's.

Do you know the model?

It's not a model... it's a real TV

Not got a clue, as I said my mum's neighbour popped up there for a nosey earlier and mentioned it then showed me the flyer I've posted the pic from.

I live in Woodford which means I'll be heading home in the opposite direction so can't even pop in to have a look, sorry

You'd pay that for a 3 years extended warranty at currys, 3 years included too

Thank you most kindly but the credit has to go to mummy Loyal's next door neighbour, I just posted her deal on to the interweb on her behalf I suppose

It's not the kind of TV I'm after, but it's so big and cheap I would be tempted if it were near me! Nice find

Anyone got an idea of what the input lag will likely be like?

Yeah, she's the sister of a neighbour's cousin cousin's great grandfather's great niece.

The OP should fix the price and put it down to £148.99 as one quid goes … The OP should fix the price and put it down to £148.99 as one quid goes for the batteries.

lol

Thanks OP! I've been looking for a cheap 4k tv for my sons room for a while. Be rude not to upgrade his 24".

Is this bishop's stortford only?

Wish it was other places as well. Aldi have a habit of getting very few pieces . By the time you reach the store they will be all sold out and in consolation, you will end up buying groceries from there.

Can anyone update the stock level. Long way from Cambridge.

It also doubles as a pressure washer?

Its the standard response when cheap smart phones are listed here. Thought I'd try it with cheap TVs....

Good deal for whichever staff member buys the one unit available before the store opens.

Pity theres no Aldi's near me unless i take a ferry

Great deal, heat added

So when it says '60Hz refresh rate', does that mean that it only does 60Hz? If so then yuk.

Brilliant for the man cave! Great find

anyone found out the model yet?

Why do you think it's 149 quid?

It'll be made by BAUHN last sold September 2015 for £299

It saying 60Hz says to me that it should be HDMI 2.0 which is a good thing (ie not limited to 30Hz/30fps if you were to say hook up a PC). But without model numbers, manuals etc there's no way to be sure.

That's the million dollar question.

Can't comment on Aldi, but is not unusual for stock to be extremely limited/first N in query type deals.

Bargain if you can get one though

Wow. Good price.

Why would you pay for a 3 year warranty when you already have a 5 year EU law protection

If your worried about things like that don't look at TVs for £150

I wonder what the model number is, who makes it and whether it supports HDMI 2.0.

Good questions, although the lack of a manufacturers badge on the front indicates that no one wanted to own up to making this

I bought this for £299 last autumn. It's a Bauhn branded TV and for the money it's excellent. I'd guess it wouldn't be any good for gaming etc but for a second set in a bedroom or such like it's great, especially at that price.
