Virgin Wines 12 bottle case, £40 all in*
Usually £106, now £39.99 + FREE delivery for new custs only
10,000 available
60% off its 12-bottle Discovery Club Mixed Selection case (six bottles of red, six of white). It usually costs £97.88 plus £7.99 p&p, but newbies can get it for £39.99 all-in – equivalent to £3.33 per bottle.
The Discovery selection includes: Dragon Hills Syrah 2012 (usually £8.99/bottle on Virgin Wines), La Reserve Tolosane 2011 (usually £7.99/bottle), Bel Olivier Sauvignon Blanc 2012 (usually £8.99/bottle) and more. You MUST enter your delivery AND billing addresses to activate free delivery.

The offer's valid till Tue 31 Dec and delivery usually takes 24 hours. However, it says there are only 10,000 cases available, so there’s every chance this deal will end well before then.

If you were one of the few that were charged for delivery on Fri 29 Nov, you should have received an email from Virgin Wines and had your delivery charge refunded.

You must be a new Virgin Wines customer and it's one case per order, per new account. The deal can't be used with any other offer and it's for over-18s only. Buying the case will opt you into receiving special members’ offers from Virgin Wines, but there’s no obligation at all to buy any more wine. Please be Drinkaware.

Not Bad.....One of the Better Wine Deals

I got this delivered to my Mother-in-Law as a Christmas present, excellent deal!

is it this one here:

virginwines.co.uk/pro…ail

Also, can you cancel the club immediately? As it says you are signing up to reeceive monthly wine deliveries.

Yes Good Deal, BUT you have to sign up for Virgin Wine Club.... my Advice Join Naked-Wines... no commitment, much better wines, great dealers, free bottles, no spam, organic and local wine dealers, independent wine makers who need support, by supporting naked-wines, its like helping your local business and NOT giving all your money to the big boys like virgin... I have had a few cases from Naked-Wines so far, and the wines are FANTASTIC... Naked Wines

I'd get this in a shot if you could chose to just have red wines but the whites wouldn't get drunk

Is it adding on delivery for anyone else once they've proceeded to checkout?

I disagree on Naked Wines - we use Laithwaites a couple of times a year but I got suckered in to Naked Wines by a discount. Really poor quality wine, and I bought the best reviewed bottles of grapes I know I like. I wouldn't have a case as a freebie, and I am not that fussy about what we drink!

Isn't this deal like the perpetual 'closing down sale' you see at a lot of the cheap clothing stores?

hex2, who are you kidding? Especially your last sentence. It's almost like you work for Laithwaites PR team. Nothing wrong with Naked Wines or Laithwaites.

I am a discovery club member - the wines aren't too bad (they tend to be all "quite nice" - I've only had one or two that I've thought were really impressive), and 12 bottles quarterly is about right for me. It saves me going to the shops and carrying it all back...

You get an e-mail a few weeks in advance telling you what'll be in it and how long you have left to cancel. I've done this a few times when I've been away (or when I've stocked up on glitches thanks to HUKD!) and there's been no issue with it.

Not tried naked wines, but I imagine they are much the same... And £40 for 12 bottles to me is worth that tiny bit of effort to cancel if you don't want the regular delivieries!

just buy it as you need it, these deals just encourage you to drink more!

"Hic" - nice one - heat added oO

Great deal. Thanks.

i'm with virgin, they don't 'spam' you too often. and i've heard that naked's cheap wines are not good, just like virgin's cheap wines are not good - you can get better in the supermarket for the same price.

Naked are very different, their whole strategy is to support very small single vineyard producers with the money they make off their customers - this means the winemakers aren't very well established and don't have the depth of experience as a family that's been doing it for generations has. whether that reflects in the quality of the wine, i'll leave up to you to decide.

i would probably only drink the wines in this deal after you're already tipsy

Ahhhh...got it...delivery just came off once confirmed delivery address brilliant deal..thanks

Also you can use the code from Here and get a £60 voucher off your order at naked wines

Make sure after you order turn off all marketing preferences in the account settings, do it ASAP before they get chance to sell them to all and sundry. There are six to turn off.

Also pay by paypal then you can cut them off from taking future payments via paypal incase you forget to cancel. If you use credit card they can just take it (unless you cancel the card)

Same here but the red wouldn't get drank!

I have to say that the choices I made from Naked Wines were all good, even the whites and I was able to drink them all. Some wines I tend to react to.

I also had a £2 Debenhams gift voucher deer.

Good deal, but the fact that this is one of those annoying 'clubs' which send you wine every month is why I joined Naked Wine instead.

I got a silver candled deer here

Just orderd, thanks OP great shout. Even if you don't use all bottles you can cook with them etc.

Big recommendation for summerchimneywineclub.com/ if you are looking for a wine club. Much more personal service, and haven't had a bad bottle yet. Obviously a higher price than this offer, but thought I'd suggest it anyway (and no, I don't work for them!)

I bought this without reading the comments. How do I opt out of the wine club permanently?

Looking for a case of good French red.

Totally agree with this - Naked Wines is a fantastic company to deal with as well. Any suggestion that the wineries are new and don't have much experience is a lot of rot - I've not had a bad bottle yet.

In a previous Virgin offer, I sent a box to a friend for her 40th with the message "Happy 40th from me & me's burd", At the time they had an slogan "If you are dissatisfied for any reason we will make a full refund".

Some time later, the newly 40 friend called thanking me for the wine, and saying "it just arrived, we had no idea who it came from, so we phoned Virgin and they said it was you".

So called up Virgin telling them I was dissatisfied, to discover "labels falling off is not covered in our "any reason"".

Bought. Thanks

purchased too - thanks OP. I will buy, drink and cancel the account, hopefully all before new year

Great deal, just ordered.
