is this all stores- as no mention on garden newbies for today on website?

Rememeber these are only the smaller 40 litres ones, most compost comes in 70, 75 or 80 litre bags
But still a good price as they are easier to lift and carry etc.

cold, bought 270 litres of bark from Wickes for £11.50 at the weekend....

Lidl prices...
5p / litre

Wickes
0.23p / litre

True, remember getting 3 or 4 large (75L) compost from Wickes at £10.

Bought them yesterday ...

Asda do 70litre for £3-£4 but this is decent for people who don't need loads, so voted hot =]

Think you might need to check your maths otherwise the Wickes prices looks shocking, think rounded the Wickes price is actually £0.04 per litre & the Lidl one is £0.05 per litre. :whistling:

But, I guess that the advantange of the Lidl one is that it comes in much more manageable sized bags, but guess its still not cheaper & I can't vouch for the quality of either, so kind of 50:50 for me

my local one has these in for months
peat free is 30L, normal multipurpose 40L iirc , bark dunno 40L
thats probably why not advertised as in most stores atm anyway i think.

I bought some of this last year and its was awful. It seemed as though it hadn't broken down properly. If it were my compost, I'd have to sieve it first before attempting to use it.
