Sounds Fantastic
Crazy price, heat added
I live a 5 mins walk away from a Toby’s so will be handy one evening when I can’t be bothered to cook!
Thanks Chanchi
Love Toby Carvery food but have never had a good roast potato there. They've never been crispy. Which is a shame as the roasties are a central factor of a good roast. If they could tackle that one issue I'd probably eat there once a week lol

Err, that’s this post
Apparently my comment was deleted but lets have a second go.

Last time I went to a Toby Carvery via a Groupon discount for 2 people it was "very disappointing"
.
Hope this satisfies the moderators.
COLD from me.

Don’t worry about it it’s been merged and you got the credit it deserves, doesn’t happen every day your would normally end up just sitting in vouchers l.

Chanchi32 had made a similar post, but yours was submitted first. I wrote this on Chanchi32's post and the two deals have been merged hence now the confusing posts about me saying this has already been posted.

Every Toby Carvery i've been in recently has been a hive for chavs - this will only attract more.
Not that I’m hating on the deal but I always find the Toby rather underwhelming. I personally prefer The Harvester.
Thats my grub booked - Thanks OP
Used to love TC but it seems to have got gradually poorer over the years. The food is a little on the bland side and meat portions are beyond stingy. Still not a bad price for this deal though.

Has anyone ever managed to pay full price at Toby? If so how did they manage that?

Quality really varies by restaurant, I've had some that were all crispy and no fluffy centre and others that were just mush. Yorkshire Puds vary a lot too, some restaurants do them really well, others less so.

To be fair the Yorkshire have always been OK when I've gone, but I used to go to Toby Carvery in Plymouth and now West Sussex, and none of them have had good roasties. Perhaps they don't cook them at a high enough temperature. Usually just get other veg instead as a soggy potato is worse than no roastie
If you decide to do a runner without paying make sure that the server is aware beforehand that you have a voucher and they will get less money docked out of their wages for your non payment’
I've never had Toby Carvery before (I know) and I'm away for work, so popped in the Toby Carvery next to my hotel tonight. I asked for beef and the guy (the carver?) Said "it's really fatty is that ok?"

I left, so I might never have a Toby
Thanks for posting @Babbabooey we have added this to today's Highlights page

Yaaay 40% off bubblegut inducing roast! Get in
Cold food. Also their roast spuds are crap. I only cook a roast at Christmas, my potatoes are crunchy.
Toby - have anything you want so long as it’s a carvery.
It’s a good deal, but I don’t rate Toby now, dull boring same old crap week in week out.
Remember, it’s only valid for today. Enjoy
Enjoyed our food there yesterday. I rang ahead to ask and they were very accommodating to let my 89 year old grandma with dementia have a childs Carvery as she can't eat much. Shame the bottomless drink macgine had run out of Pepsi max though, its obviously everyone's favourite!
