I got a paperwhite with £50 off a few months back. I think the code then was READ50, which was account specific. I did not get the code by invite, but contacted CS, and sent them a screenshot from the post of it on HUKDeals, and they applied the code to my order, immediately.
Might be worth a go?

This is account specific - I see code PAGE30 for £30 discount - if I enter PAGE40 it doesn't work:

The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.
not working for me

Neither code works for me - student prime

Advertising on an e-reader. Is there nowhere sacred?

Anyway to remove the advertising on these or do they ask for a fee to do it?

Never mind, noticed they sell one without advertising for a little more

Apart from trying the code, how do you know if your account is applicable for the offer? Tks!

normally there is no need to try the code, if your eligible it will tell you on the kindle page. that's how it worked previously for me

Save your money and buy the one with adverts. After a few days contact CS and tell them that the e-reader is for a child and some of the adverts are not suitable for minors. They will then remove them for you free of charge. I think if you turn the wi-fi off they don't appear either.
For what it’s worth my account is showing PAGE30 which is £30 off. Still can’t justify replacing my non lighting up kindle for the few times I need a light.
I'd hold off for now, the voyage is gone and they're rumoured to replace the paperwhite very soon with a new model

Not sure but It’s the only difference that matters to me over my 4th generation one that’s 6 years old. I don’t find mine to be low resolution to warrant replacing it yet...
No joy for me keep hoping they will give me a discount never happens !

Tried - they said NO
Just spoke to CS via chat and was informed the offer expired on 21/8 whether you were selected or not.
