We’ve blagged 10,000 codes for new Sky customers (or those who left 12 months+ ago) to get 40% off Sky TV packages for a year (including Sky Sports & Movies, but not the HD upgrade) on a 12-month contract.

The savings can be huge. When we ran a similar deal previously, @Syfish16 tweeted: "Thanks, used one of your Sky codes - more channels for a saving of £360 this year. #legend"

- You also get bill credit. You'll get £100 or £125 (for the Family or complete bundle) in credit added to your first bill.

- Broadband’s available. You can opt for a year’s ‘free’ b'band or six months' 'free' fibre (then £20/mth for rest of the 18mth contract) if you take Sky's £16.40/mth line rent for a year (as long as you keep your TV package). You'll have to pay £6.95 for a router and it's £20 installation if you need a new line (or to change from cable).

- £10 set-up fee. Unavoidable whatever TV package you get.

Get a code below until: 11.59pm on Thu 19 Feb (or until they run out).
Redeem it from: 10am on Fri 6 Feb to 11.59pm on Thu 19 Feb.
To redeem it: Use the special link that we'll post here on Friday.

40% off the standard Sky TV package. About 40 channels, including Sky Atlantic, Sky 1, Fox, Sky Living and Good Food. Reduced from £21.50/mth to £12.90/mth.
40% off the Variety Bundle. Standard TV plus kids' channels. Reduced from £28/mth to £16.18/mth.
40% off the Family bundle. Standard TV plus kids' channels and HD channels. Reduced from £33/mth to £19.80/mth.
40% off the Movies bundle. Standard TV plus 12 movie channels. Reduced from £38/mth to £22.80/mth.
40% off the Sports bundle. Standard TV plus seven sports channels, including Sky Sports F1. Reduced from £46/mth to £27.60/mth.
40% off the complete bundle. Everything above plus box sets on demand and Sky 3D. Reduced from £71.25/mth to £44.85/mth (this includes the HD pack, which isn't half price and still £5.25/mth).

Is HD included in the 40% off?

No - if you want HD channels, it's an extra £5.25/month.

What about line rental, is that included in the deal?

No - standard line rental costs £16.40/month on top.

Are channels such as BT Sport/ESPN or other sports channels included?

No, additional premium channels (including BT Sport/ESPN, MUTV and Chelsea TV) aren't included.

Can I add any extras?

Yes, you can add Multiscreen. It costs £11.25/mth on top of your bundle choice and comes with Sky Go Extra at no extra cost. You can add Sky Go Extra on its own but that'll cost £5/mth.

So the basic tv bundle works out at £12.90 per month = £154.80 per year - £100 credit = £54.80 for the year.
This is a no brainer for me as I'm moving soon and want a dish up, but not particulary for SKY, the cheapest quote I've had is £75, so I'm saving £20 instantly, and getting some tv on top of that.

When this deal has run previously, you have been able (AFTER install) upgrade your packages and get the discount for the upgrade alongside cashback from TCB or Quidco, so if you want sport or movies, add them after it has been installed, get the same discount but also cashback.

Apparently, previously, the discount also applies to broadband if you upgrade after install, but could only find a couple of reports of that, so maybe don't take that as definate.

Previous deals seem to have been 50% off but with only £50 cashback, which isn't as good a deal as this one, even though the headline percentage is smaller.

"You also get bill credit. You'll get £100 or £125 (for the Family or complete bundle) in credit added to your first bill."
So above doesn't apply to standard package.
Are calls included in this deal?
(Thinking of changing from Virgin basic tv package which includes anytime calls including mobile, 0870 etc, paying £23 per month plus £144 per annum line rental) Could I better this with Sky?

Original Poster Banned

The way i read it was the £100 was for all packages except the Family or complete which were £125.

This is only for TV, but you can upgrade after install through a cashback site as an existing customer to get cashback on phone/broadband

http://www.topcashback.co.uk/sky-digital-upgrades/

as an example, £105 cashback + £50 M&S voucher for standard broadband
Skytalk unlimited is £21.40 per month, so 21.40 x 12 = £256.80 - £105 cashback (assuming it goes through) £151.80 and £50 M&S voucher on top.

Thanks for the info. Will give it some thought.

Nice one pal, applied for the code, just incase and if I don't use it and there all gone by the end of the week, I'll pass it on

Will this offer apply for just the tv packages without phone line rental or internet from them? Someone pls help as im looking to join up with them asap but i shall wait till friday if it applies to me????

Just get movie box and get rid of sky movie box is free all movies and TV shows you could ever want and more

so as my contract runs out in less than a month, can my partner use it as a new customer at our address?

Its only for the tv packages, not phone or broadband (although some reports say it worked on broadband last time).

You might get a better offer ringing retentions, but if not, yes, it should work in a new name.

I already have sky broadband will this code work if I get sky tv package ?

I logged into My Sky recently and was offered 50% off for 12 months if I rejoined them, with the credit this probably just about trumps it

I think so, but the discount shows in your basket before you finalise the order, so apply for the code, then see if it works, nothing to lose, if it doesn't wor then don't go ahead with the order.

I cancelled was offered 40%, within a week of being disconnected they rang and offered 60% off , free hd for my sports, rolling contract and £100 credit .

Got my code, will the link be posted here? Thanks

31.50 a month for every single sky service although only got 6 months left...but still , yay to sky lol

Not bad, but before you ring up ask if they have the 60% off and £100 credit and no contract as that was the deal they were running recently.

Quick question. Hopefully someone can help.

I was looking on sky's website last night and it had a bit of a sale on with £75 credit added to your first bill.

But in the terms and conditions it said "non sky HD box household"

I've had sky in the past, probably over 18 months ago. So still have a dish up, and a sky HD box in the living room. Can I get one of these deals or no?

No contract for new customers? Got a link to where that was discussed? Thats even better for me

Prices looking closer to the actual cost they should be, as opposed to the ridiculous price they charge normally.

I can't see myself ever being able to afford or justify paying for Sky, as much as I'd love to. It's no wonder people look to other means to receive Sky channels.

Well, for old customers returning to sky which is why you need to ring up and see if they have any deals listed on your account Yermar above seems to have had the same deal

I don't believe this without some proof

It's not bad, not amazing.

I got £260 Quidco for joining up along with £60 M&S voucher. 50% off for a year, £9.99 line rental & £10 38mb fibre & Sky+HD multiroom which is the only full price item I pay but don't mind as it's the proper box.

Cancel the movies & sports too and re-add when Quidco have decent upgrade offers.

I have everything and never pay more than £65 per month, EVER!

yup u can have this deal, I do this all the time when my contract runs out, I normally wait a month or 2 once cancelled, and resign up with a discount offer, I simply sell the old hd box, as you get a brand new one on install, as for the dish, if its not too old just keep it, or ask for a new dish to be installed, choice is urs

no, he said get movie box and get rid of sky, movie box is free etc.
the main deal i highlighted was for the basic channels and geting the dish installed etc, so movie box would be no use whatsoever for that anyway.

Its a retentions deal.

I have 75% off for 12 months with £100 credit on my account

No minimum term/contract.

I've just cancelled sky as I don't watch enough TV, I've used xbmc in the past but my broadband speed is so poor I end up abusing my mums 150mb virgin BB to build up my TV and movie library, plug that bad boy hdd into my smart TV and jobs a gooden

If your not an avid broadband user i would recommend not to go with sky the uk average speed on their supposed 'upto' 20mb is an average 12mb and thats not including the rural areas these are well established areas, when u compare it to bt, their speeds are almost double and when u look at virgins its almost x4 so be wary if it is the broadband sode of the deal that interests you. Still a great bit of business for anyone not having a gaming console or two under their roof

If you are an avid user*

I think code is linked to poscode. so no good to anyone with different postcode.

Sky still ripping its customers off with the totally unnecessary HD upgrade cost I see!

Does anyone know if I get a new sky box with this deal...the one I had is 10 years old so I fancy a new Sky HD box.

Has anybody ever tried signing up in partners name and switching people every 12 months so you are always classed as a new customer?

Yes this also works, Sky go by the name you sign up with not the house address or debt account you use to pay. Potentially every 12/18 months you can cancel and get a new sign up deal.

johallington1

If your contract runs out in a month, Cancel. They will go through the full cancellation process and give you a two week cooling off period to stop the cancellation.

During this time they will call you twice offering you the best possible deal.

I personally have only ever received 70% off my current bill for 12 months but my partner previously received 80% off. If you do receive 70% or 80% off add the sky sports package and opt in for sky sports 5 channel (Free) then your internet become free for 12 months.
