Saw this in John Lewis a few weeks back and found it it very impressive for the price (£429 there). I saw no ghosting at all, and the X-Reality Pro engine actually does a really good job of improving picture quality, as it's an actual processing chip and not just bumping up dynamic contrast and colour like most cheaper TV enhancement features do!

Amazon have pricematched Currys pricedrop - but this should work out a nice deal coupled with Bespoke + Quidco. Probably around £300 if the cashback pays out...

-X-Reality Pro: Experience high picture quality
-Smart TV: Watch what you want, when you want. Catch-up TV, films and TV series on demand, YouTube and more
-Slim design: The elegant slim design seamlessly blends into any living room, even when mounted on the wall
-Motionflow XR 200 Hz: Reduced blur and judder. Smoother images, whatever you watch
-One-Flick entertainment: Control your TV with intuitive interface. Easily flick through TV, personal or Internet content using the optional One-Flick touchpad remote

this will be good for pc gaming then?
I have the 48 inch. Top TV for the money. Good quality picture, smart TV, without the 3D gimmicks and Sony's buggy implementation of Android. Hot price.

And don't forget the 100Hz panel!

I'm not sure how much to read into refresh rates these days as they're only really applicable to CRT monitors/TVs. These simulated refresh rates in LCDs etc are typically artificial frame creation technologies, which more often than not you end up turning off when testing to find the best PQ.
Well i've ordered the other one as i think it will be cancelled anyay whilst i wait on bespoke quoting me on this one haha!

Good luck. Looks like a steal at that price

So it will run natively at 100Hz if used for PC gaming.I know TV is only broadcast in ~24Hz, but the faster panel alleviates ghosting better, even at that frequency. It also means when you raise the interpolation, there's lest artifacting/distortions than there would be with interpolation enabled on a 60Hz TV.Depends really. It'll have higher input lag and worse ghosting that's for sure... it's up to whether you can cope with these things. I know they are both things that irritate the hell outta me, ha!

Looks like I bought a better TV than I realised then. Thanks for the info. Provided the 48 inch also has a native 100Hz panel?

You could always check the back of your TV as it usually states the panel frequency on the sticker ...

I've edited 100Hz out now as I can't find concrete evidence of a 100Hz panel, but this article seems to clarify that 200Hz Motion Flow = 100Hz panel...

I've emailed Sony to find out, but I'm almost certain it is.

I have the 50 inch. These are fantastic!
Bespoke cashback is not guaranteed!!
Forget the cashback, take the price to John Lewis if they stock it and get them to price match, by the number of refurb Sony to deals you will need the warranty
Easily the best non-expensive TVs for gaming. Great price.
not a fan of these stands that don't swivel
does it have freeview HD?
Is there a 42"/43" equivalent?
Wildman

Richer Sounds will price match too, plus an extra year warranty, so 6 in total. I got this TV from their Deansgate branch on Saturday for £373, I'd asked them to match this price

So they beat the price but not as much if you took the Which trial out

50 inch is the old 705B model. Latest models are 705C and come in sizes 32", 40" and 48"
