Only issue I've found with these cheaper says it's the cutting discs seem …Only issue I've found with these cheaper says it's the cutting discs seem to disintegrate into nothing as soon as you start cutting

I guess they just don’t make the cut? 😏

What I do is buy all my dremel stuff from eBay China sellers. You can get 100 buff wheels for only a few pounds with free delivery. This maplin stuff is only the same cheap quality as the China cheap stuff buts it's way more money.

Same price on Amazon with free delivery as well

Just expect to get what you pay for if you buy these.

They're nowhere near Dremel quality and break very easily.

It's the same seller. That is Maplin's Amazon seller account. That's why.

Also with sets like these you'll find that you use one type of attachment more than the other - like I use up all the cutting discs really quickly, then I'm left with heaps of the ones I never use - so yeah, much better to just buy the ones you need in bulk cheaply.

Yeah - splash out on some reinforced or diamond cutting discs and they should last you longer than however many cheap discs you'd get for the same price.

Most useless thing I bought years ago

The bits are fine if you just need a range. Apart from the wire brushes and the cutting discs. They are awful. They just break and bits fly everywhere. Goggles highly recommended if you try those two things.

The bigger problem in my opinion is the box they come it is an utter piece of crap. Every time I move mine half the bits fall to the bottom, even with it shut. Then when I open the box, they all fall out or get stuck in the hinge of the door. Even the plastic shelves fall out. I've spent so much time over the last few years just putting things back where they are supposed to be in this box, it's unreal.

I still have no idea what circular discs of sandpaper are for and they seem to make up a massive percentage of the 400 pieces. Please enlighten me if you know.

I don't feel like it was horrible value, but it has a lot of issues.

The sand paper circles are for getting rid of piles

That’s true but if you pay 10 extra u can get a new kit from them

Dremel is cheap tat until you replace the motor and controller with Bosch items! I get my rotary bits from Clas Ohlson, as they are cheap Chinese pieces, but far superior.
