Most supermarket fruit is tasteless. Better to try the local market.

i prefer mine from a tin, easy to store

Good price for 600g. Strange how strawberries have been half-price all this summer (and for a number of years), the supermarkets and suppliers are clearly having a laugh at our expense the only variation is how much they end up at (around £1.99) and how big the punnet is (ranging from200g to 400g for the "half-price"!). We went to PYO and they were still £3.40 per kg, therefore little saving for all the effort of picking them!

The same at Lidl for £1 instead

The last time I purchased Morrison's packaged Strawberries ( 2 months ago) after thoroughly washing them and eating two of them I noticed that there were baby slugs coming out of a few of them, so beware of the quality control folks, not voted either way.

Totally agree,we have been ripped off. They display them at £3.99 for a couple of days then all of a sudden they are half price all summer. Not even full 1lb punnets, and most of them are tasteless. If you have a PYO local then they are much cheaper and better tasting.

Cold. Morrisons should be banned from selling "fresh" fruit. You're lucky to get a day out of most of their fruit without it going mouldy.

These are filled with nasty chemicals to make them grow big and fast but they are still colourless and are only just reddish because they just don't get the time to ripen properly, when will people learn you don't get a punnet a fruit in your local supermarket for a quid without paying a price somewhere..
