To the OP, voted hot!

Asda smart price red grapes are about £1.25

Morrisons Green grapes are also going for £1 just now

Wash these thoroughly-I bought a pack, emptied them in a bowl of water to wash them and among a lot of dirt a dead spider floated to the top.

Speak for yourself- If I was interested in this type of protein I could save my self the money and bother of going to aldi and venture out into the garden instead!

Yeah but then you'd have to do the hard work of hunting and killing your prey.

If you are into cheap protein I understand Aldi do horse meat as well but … If you are into cheap protein I understand Aldi do horse meat as well but them if you are not that bothered where your protein comes from there is also road kill (do don't even have to kill it!).Yeah but then you'd have to do the hard work of hunting and killing your prey.

I'd quite happily eat horse meat, especially if it's cheaper than beef.
Not too worried by the risk I may have issues with bute. Leaner meat for a start, when I'm watching the calories.

Anyway - as above, 400g for £1 in morrisons and apparantly 500g for the same in farm foods.

Think Asda had 500g for £1.50 (may have just been green, didn't check), which is only a quarter of a penny more expensive per 100g (even less if it was £1.49.)

The Aldi ones are OK but usually smaller,
the ones the big stores reject

It's cheaper in Asda. 500g for £1.25 (£2.50 a kilo in Asda and £2.98 in Aldi).

Or if you really want to splash out, the standard grapes are reduced to £1.50 which is basically the same price and will no doubt be bigger/better than Aldi''s.

I very much doubt they are the ones the big stores reject... as they are grown specifically for aldi!!
