Woah! Just hope doesn't corrupt!
I would never recommend buying an SD Card from CEX. The last one I bought was defective, they wouldn't accept a return so only gave me store credit. Such a con!

Nobody should buy anything from cex. They are scum.
Managed to pick one up from schpok for 80 to go with my 256gb note 8. Yes that's a total of 656gb in my phone. I'm overcompensating because I lack in the trouser department

Should be covered on the 24 month warranty if it does
What was the glitch in this deal??

Does that get your data back? I've had 2 128GB Sandisk cards fail on me in the last 6 months in 2 different phones. I no longer consider Sandisk to be my go to brand for memory cards.

Credit Card purchases over £100 are protected so easy to get the money back if CEX will not honour a return

I agree, Ive also has a 128gb & 64gb go corrupt on me in the past year. I am not sure though which brand can be trusted.
I have an old 32gb that just stopped working. So I think these are great ideas but once bitten... twice shy.
My only concern is the number of fake SD cards out there. I’ve had three fake 128GB micro sd cards from CeX. Just offered credit when I returned them. 😔
Why would u need to carry that much data on a phone? It' not cost effective. You could buy a portable hard drive or a flash drive for less with an off cable. Or hell cloud backup subscription

Its easier and more convenient with msd, especially with things like 4k video.

Plus its not just phones, look at e.g. the surface pro.

I doubt it, I'm confident on my SDCard and I have backups if things do go wrong
great price, i have 256gb in my s8 and dont need bigger but my missus has nearly used her 256gb in her s7. I would have had one but its CEX they are dirty
Ordered 256GB one last year, with trade in credit, for my Switch. Sandisk do seem to be having some realiability issues with their SD Cards, but I should be covered by the two year warranty if it fails. Plus no big deal if it fails, I'll just need to re-install games.

Define return? If it was within 28 days you’d have got your money back. Outside that they only have to offer an exchange. Store credit is an exchange of sorts for you to source a replacement or buy something else.

Well I’ve never had a problem with them and I’ve bought many items. I’m guessing you’ve been jilted at the alter by them.

my sandisk 32mb from 2000 and 64mb(2001) are still working well
it's crazy to store such a huge amount of data on a tiny card. It could easily get lost or corrupted

Definition of return, their "testing" showed it wasn't faulty, as in they could access the data on the card, however when I tried it in my phone and computer, it would not format, so it only let you write data to the card once and it was only about a week after, I did not get my money back, so I had to buy a game instead, I bought an SD Card online instead and haven't had any issues

It didn't cost me anywhere near £100, as it was only a 128GB card
I bought a micro SD card from CEX and it turned out to be a fake 128gb sandisk card I only managed to download one game on it and then it wouldn't accept any other game it was for my switch. When I tried to return it they were playing that I had swapped it with one that I had. Bunch of con artists

They are but quite fun suing them. I've done them over twice now.
They go wrong by assuming all their customers are ignorant pikey filth but forget that it's only nearly all.
thanks! great price.. have ordered.. will hope for the best against any issues or a fake card arriving
that's a lot of data to lose, but good price

movies and music can take up a lot of space and having it on your phone means you dont have to rely on an internet connection for access
Wow technology is crazy now. Amazing
I remember when all I had was a 16k RAM pack sticking out the back of my ZX81 with a bag of peas around it. 400gb in sometime the size of a fingernail is amazing.

That's a far cry from my local store (Harrow) which is full of unhelpful degenerates behind the counter.
It wasn't long ago that they would force you to accept store credit as they would claim to never have cash yet happily take it from the people who just bought something before you.

Lester just gave me £88.49 and a £10 voucher.

Because I bought a Kinect adapter that didn't work. Then returned it to be replaced, replacement was just a cable and missing parts so I felt this was used some compensation.
I was offered a £2 voucher.
Declined and was offered a £10 voucher.
Declined again and filled in a claim.
14 days later I get am email offering me what I asked for and they even insisted on giving me the £10 voucher too. I asked for the difference between what a Kinect adapter would cost me to source elsewhere at that time.

They would only bend over after claiming against them.

Same story for a fake memory card which was replaced with another fake card.
Yet another reason not to buy an iPhone.. 🤔
