I've just been having a good old look at the Internet Archive (it's been a while since I've been on there), and after looking at this 31GB complete Amiga compilationrememberd about the MS-DOS games of old, and how awesome they were.

Great share and somewhere to move on to after I finish reminiscing on c64 emulators!
A wee bit piratey in here but I'm not one to judge, I've used Internet Archive to gather a few things for my Pi in the past..

Just out of interest (asking for a friend) do you have an English version of Wonderboy in Monster World for the Mega Drive?

Are you using an image on your Pi, or have you built it?
I built it myself, I only had a 32gb card and knew exactly what I wanted on it.

Fair play. I have 128gb with Rey's Image on it, everything is perfect apart from Wonderboy, which has Japenese subs. Meh.
Just played Doom 2 - brings back the memories - still addictive!!
    Outzone?

It's not classed as piracy. It's 'abandonware'. Totally legal to download.

anyone remember a game, it used to always come on the demo discs on PC …anyone remember a game, it used to always come on the demo discs on PC Gamer magazines..It was a side view game with airplanes, you woudl fly around using arrow keys had all sorts of planes from bi planes to jets etc... cannot for the life of me remember its name or even if it was a proper full game or just some freeware thing.

Surely this is a freebie, not a deal?

I'm sure Capcom will agree with you when it comes to licensing SF2

It's blatant piracy hiding under the abandonware umbrella to make people feel better.

I don't know what it is, but you got me thinking about Airwolf on the Spectrum...

Ahhh those were the days. The Amiga / Atari ST owners would laugh at us DOS users as the PC couldn't scroll sideways properly
    Cold not 4k
Keep getting this error message - Failed to download game data!
    Any ideas?

Whether they care or not has no effect on the legality. Legally speaking "Abandonware" isn't even a thing. It's a made up word to make people feel better about pirating old games. Unless they have specific permission from the copyright holder, it's piracy, whether the owner has abandoned the game or not.

That said I'm also not necessarily saying not to use it or that its even morally wrong. But please don't go around telling people its perfectly legal.

    I stand corrected.

BTW, is your real name Billy by any chance? Think I know you from Eurogamer. Did some 'swapsies' with you years ago.
