I thought this was a good price for what is a good TV really. I got the 50" version a few month back and it's been fantastic.

Perhaps as a TV for the bedroom or spare room, or if you're not too fussed about the latest tech then I'm sure it'll make a good tv for the living room.

They had about 5 out on show in Asda Sports City, so I'm not sure if it is national or not.

Good find I got clearance model last year £162 same as this TV works great.

excellent price

yes also saw this in the small asda in ipswich at the front of the store

Bought it, very clear

still can't get used to a 40" tv being described as 'good for the spare room'. I'm getting old X)

Agree. My JVC is widescreen 26" and I still refer to it as a new TV. I mean it's not that new but works perfectly and it's bigger then my spare room.

Same here. Or kids bedroom!!

after a while 40" seems small

I think it's probably national - we bought one from asda Westbrook in warrington on Saturday for £199. Nice telly for the price, even the sound is fine which has been a problem with some of the other big Polaroid models. Needed a replacement for a telly that had died in the playroom, 40 inches was bigger than we were going for but looks great - you quickly get used to the size!

saving for later

i bought one a few weeks back after my lg in the bedroom packed up, very impressed for the price.
only thing i can fault it on is it is very weak soundwise, i know new thin tvs always have this issue but this is poor....if i was to buy for the main tv i would hook it up to some cheap pc speaker to help (wouldnt want surround sound on all the time)

Do you have to shake it to get a picture..??

I repair tv's and Polaroid have definitely contributed toward my pension fund in the last couple of years ! it used to be the inverters on the older lcd tvs, or the psu. on these later sets its just the psu's as obviously no inverter in led tv's
personally I would not ever purchase a Polaroid tv.

Does it print out photos?

Yes, but you should see the size of the film you have to put in........

a TV in the BEDROOM????

I bought one of these a few days ago - £249 on the website, so £199 in store was great.

Online reviews all comment on "tinny" sound, but I think that's very over the top, sound and picture quality are both great.

Sainsbury's sell a Celcus 40" tv for £199 too and a Smart version for £229, not sure which would be the best to get but just mentioning them.

bargain

Sounds like a great deal for that price.

The bigger the screen is not necessarily better. It might just be me but i much prefer gaming on my 22" screen than the 50" in the other room.

Great tv bought last week and it's crackin

picked one up in Clayton Green :-)

Are you sure that's not the "Series 1" from the new Polaroid range?

This deal is still running. Picked one up at Wolstanton store near Newcastle-under-Lyme.

They only keep one TV in stock at a time and the assistant said that they always sell the same day that they come in, so you have to keep checking.

don't forget polaroid basically went bankrupt few years back. Polaroid today is simply a holding company who own the name who then badge up whatever products they feel like it.

Polaroid is an entirely different company to what it was
