Kinda wish I needed to buy one! No brand name to mention, but would be great for people on a budget or as a second/bedroom TV. From previous posts about Aldi electronics they usually score well with the geeks

Would consider if it had a 3 bedroom house built around it. Not for me this time.

I don't have internet access.

Anyone know who makes these? I just got a Finlux 40 inch for £199.99 from Amazon, this seems kinda better? Especially with the warranty.

Grow up Pal! It does have Freeview HD

You are all focusing on the wrong thing, it has a remote control WITH BATTERIES!

£20 for internet access

I came in here expecting the worst but this is an amazing deal, blows all of the black Friday deals out of the window! for the moans about freeview HD the amount of HD channels isn't exactly high, its nice to have but for this price for that length of warranty you can't complain at all

Correct DVB-T is SD (Standard Deviation) DVB-T2 is HD.

There's 12 Freeview HD channels. Buying a 42" 1080p TV with a SD tuner seems loonacy to me.

Anyway for all those voting hot on the HDMI, 3 year guarantee, etc etc, well it isn't a bargain if the panel and software is carp......and until we see a review, only luck knows if this is the case or not.

Stupid touchscreen mobile keyboard. Anyway, post 4 is impossible to read on an S4 Zoom screen in the HUKD app, so how many HDMI sockets does it have?

I recently bought a Sony with HD and in fairness I would say that most of the 12 extra channels are just HD versions of existing channels rather than any extra channels.

It does look a good offer but you will find it quite difficult to actually get one as when Aldi offer good deals such as this each store is only issued with a few and you have to join a queue outside before they open and endure a scramble to grab one before they are all gone, probably about 5 mins after the store opens!

Funny word 'Freeview'....... You have to buy the TV to see the 'Freeview' therefore is it really 'Freeview' ?

I use a telescope to see a mile down my road into the local Currys and watch the demonstration TV's........ That's real FREEVIEW right there!

Atlas three of which are BBC which is full of crap, I agree and disagree with you as for years 42" + sets were being bought without HD tuners for those few channels so if this is being bought as a second set for somewhere like a bedroom then maybe isn't needed. I agree with the panel and software though.. I am a bit of a snob/fanboy when it comes to my TV's and only buy Sony sets. Never had problems with them and am always impressed so have kept the buying formula the same.
