You are correct, but the specs in the top part are still correct will update the title though

Surely better to go for currys deal

Surely better to go for currys deal

What is difference?

I've got once of these. Really nice display. It can play videos through the USB which is really useful. No problems with 1080p h264 mkvs either. Just ensure the audio is ac3 Dolby digital and not DTS as the TV won't decode it.

Just seen the Currys deal. They are doing the slightly updated model that has Freeview HD rather than normal Freeview. If like me you don't care about Freeview HD then get this TV as the panel is the same and it has all the same features. Advantage of it being Sainsbury's is you can get rid of some Nectar vouchers

That's an American website listing the specs for the US model and not the UK model which can be found at http://www.lg.com/uk/tvs/lg-42LN5400

The UK model is 50Hz refresh and uses software to produce 100Hz (trumotion)
US models are 60Hz so the trumotion produces 120Hz.

The only difference between these two TVs is the Freeview HD which I don't consider to be a killer feature since most people have Sky or cable these days.

We bought the higher model of this tv in Currys yesterday morning for £250 so you'd be mad to go to Sainsburys and buy the lower end for an extra £50!

The 42LN543V for £279?

Fax_1993 do you mean the 42LN543v for £279?

The 42LN543V is actually £279 but you can get £25 off with O2 Priority moments. Having said that this TV is out of stock at almost all places. I searched entire Greater London around 50 stores and none have it in stock.:(

I got one from their Mile End mega-store last night, right before their close time, and saw one or two more available in-store. Just checked online but shown as OOS. If you come there, you might luckily still get one?

I managed to get one from Currys for £254 with the O2 discount.
