Only 1 HDMI! If it had 2 I would snatch it up.

***edit***
The ebay listing says only 1, but amazon has it listed as 2 HDMI. Anybody confirm if it's 1 or 2?

amazon for those interested amazon.co.uk/LG-…UBY £25+ more.

Good deal - TV gets very good reviews everywhere but personally gone for it from Amazon as I want it tomorrow!!
Anyone got this able to give me some recommendations whether to buy or not?

Got a 32" LG in the bedroom, looking to upgrade to this. Use it mostly for PS3.

Cheers
Read around - does get great reviews and the only shortfall I can see is not having Freeview HD but that can be sorted with an external box if a requirement.

Now £318 from Amazon (typically dropped another £8.36 since I ordered earlier today!)
i have it,cant fault it,had some ghosting issues with the 32"in the bedroom, but this one is spot on,crackin price, buy buy buy

Spoke to Amazon - they have refunded the difference so £318 on there - but obviously cheaper from eBay.

Mine is arriving tomorrow though
Why do we get fobbed off with only 1 year warranty here in the the uk? 2 years is the standard in the EU. Are we not part of the EU???
bought a tv from ebuyer, it broke after 15 months, quoted sales of goods act, got store credit for purchase value of tv. bought better tv for same price. Ebuyer ++

He's not saying THIS TV broke - just that there's scope to push for a refund/credit if an electrical item breaks after 12 months.

Buy it - best deal for a decent 42" LCD at the moment
A word of warning to any would be buyers .... please read the comments re audio connectivity (or absence of it!) in this thread: hotukdeals.com/dea…701

OP: it would be useful to include the model number in the title for when people are searching for this tv in the future

Am not a happy old codger............299.99 on fleabay... order it through my ebuyer account.....329.99.....phone them and they say sorry order it and we will adjust the price to 299.99.....so I order it.............then they phone and say no you cant have it at 299.99 through your account..has to be done through fleabay...........noooooooo thanks I says because you dont get Section 75 cover on fleabay because of their rules so the order is now cancelled........back to looking and am not impressed with ebuyer particularly as I have been a customer for a long time and spent considerable amounts with them.......Buyer Beware !!!!! buying through fleabay for items over 100-00 you get no Section 75 cover if you get problems in the future.
Why doesn't section 75 apply to ebay?... Because you pay with paypal?

This is also sold by Richer Sounds for £330.

A 5 year warranty is an extra £33.

Also the same price (well a couple of quid cheaper) INSTORE ONLY at Tesco Direct shops.

Yes, 60w vs 120w in operation, defo worth the extra.

Yep..........pay via paypal and you forfit normal rules and are subject to theirs. And as fleabay and paypal are for all intents and purposes are one and the same you will have a tough time getting your money back

What is the difference between led and not? Why is it worth £20 more? Are they exactly the same tv apart from that?
The LED version isnt Full HD either is it..

Yes, it is FullHD!
It's also Direct LED, not your ordinary LED! Better image, lower consumption then a normal LED.

On the amazon page, if you scroll down it says HD and next to some of the others it says Full HD?
Yeah I saw that Bassy - says full HD in the title but not on the chart?

I think the LED looks the better choice for a few £ more on Amazon/£20 more for the LG on Ebuyer.
Hold on, if Section 75 is part of the Consumer Credit Act 1974, then its thr law right? So surely eBay and PayPal should be abiding by this? Ive never known the law to be trumped by T&Cs.

Can someone explain why this doesnt seem to be the case?

This is a direct quote from Moneysavingexpert "Also, sect 75 only applies to sales where there is a direct buyer-creditor-supplier transaction, so adding another link to the payment (Paypal) invalidates any protection from this act "

There are just a few Direct LED TVs on the market and this is one of them, definitely worth it.
It would be nice to have at least 2 years warranty though.
M&S and JohnLewiss offer 5 years warranty sometimes.
Arrived today - will be setting it up tonight though naturally wondering if I should have gone for the LED rather than the LCD!!
Mine will be here monday.

I was also wondering if i should have went for LED. But i've had not one single issue with LG lcd so i'll happily buy another

Hi i got this one from my local tesco yesterday for £297.00 it is out of stock online but if you ring customer services and give them the catalogue number they can do a stock check in your local area. There were two in my local yesterday, set it up last night and it is amazing

That's a great price - just called Tesco and none at any of the stores within 70 miles of me!

Set the LCD one up last night and it's nice, but there is quite a lot of bleeding when watching a movie (blue ray) along the top and bottom edges. Wonder if the LED would be better though I guess it's the manufacturer of the back lighting that causes the bleeding, not the type of screen (LCD/LED)
Can anyone kindly tell me how the picture quality compares on the LED model to this one? Is it worth paying the extra for the LED type screen? Thanks.
