Great, treat your Dad to a nice emergency gall bladder procedure.
feed the whole family with that steak oO
does it come with a free wafer thin mint
31 minutes cooking time? What a waste of a beautiful ribeye. £12.50 for ribeye looks ok to me.

When you buy this steak, are you forced to eat it all in one go, and aren't you allowed to share it between 3 or 4 or 5 other people? Because the other posts seem to assume that.
"sold with the bone to enhance the weight & appear cheaper" still desearves heat for price Screw the old man, I'm getting one of these for myself
How do you like your steak sir ? " Pull its horns and tail off, wipe its **** and pass it under the grill "
DO WANT
I'm a big Morrissey fan and send him one of these on his birthday every year. I also send him 3kg of bacon which I cure with salt that I make myself from my own.... ummm....
Morrissey is a vegetarian,u send him meat?
I'm off on an all-inclusive holiday soon and one of these will help me train..
Are there any frozen chips, mushrooms, eggs or onion rings on offer to go with it?
Seriously, though, assume there's about 6oz of bone leaving 25-30oz = 4 meals. Heat added.

Yes thats exactly what he does and apparently he is also a duck.
It really is madness.
This is SO going on the big green egg!
Certainly not the biggest steak I've had the pleasure of cooking but what a terrible way to cook a good bit of meat. charcoal or under the grill is the only way to go!

You don't eat enough brains.
I've only cooked a tomahawk steak once - got it from M&S - ribeye on the bone is absolutely delicious - very difficult to persuade butchers to source it.
Used a convection/microwave, fairly big one, but not sensibly big enough for the steak - had to wedge it in, positioned diagonally corner to corner - fed four people very nicely.
I've no idea how they think someone is going to fit that steak in a frying pan - might be an idea to blowtorch brown it instead.
Hot deal!

get me a bucket!!
Aged for 14 days, so they kill it and pack it pretty much.
21-28 is best.
I have a vacuum seal beef joint in my fridge that I have left for 28 days past expiry, have done this before and its amazing.
Would go for this if they did it in Large.

Online at present:
Morrisons British Tomahawk Steak 900G - 1.2Kg 1.05kg
Not fully sure what that means? But seems to imply I could end up with less than 32ozs :-) :-) :-)
Or am I reading it wrong?

To me it means pick out the 3 biggest looking and take them over to sme scales to weigh them, then pick the biggest, checking the bone situation of course.

istr that before the eu, the weight was the minimum weight allowed (i.e. a 2 lbs steak would be 2lbs or greater). The eu then said the weight (with an 'e' after it), is the average weight of a batch, so some weigh less and others more - not sure of the allowed variation (in fact not certain of all of this, just in the back of my mind). I'm sure someone knows.

Thanks for that, now I understand. 42ozs instore and most likely 32ozs online as the picker is left with the smaller ones. Looks like a store visit is necessary.

21-28 day aged beef means that after slaughter the carcass is hung on the bone before it is deboned & packed.

I prefer to hang it, open, in the garage until a bloom appears on the outside. Just scrape it off before cooking. The extra putrefaction does wonders for the flavour.

You work out whether I'm being serious or not.

Morrisons online don't get there stock from stores, they have a dedicated butcher department at the distribution depot that cuts all meat to order
Wonder how many each store will have of these! My local morrisons isn't really that local, suppose a phone call is in order before I make the trip!
