A Brand New Satnav for less than £30 that includes Delivery, Full European Maps and a Two Year Warranty,
has to be a bargain, what ever the make. Model: Noza-Tec NTu041
It may not be made to the same quality as the market leaders but this is an awful lot of spec for the money.
A maps download alone from TomTom would cost much more than this £28.49

May well be worth a punt, but if you dont need EU maps, Lifetime Updates, or Speed Cameras,
you may prefer to stick to a genuine Tomtom for £43.99,
If so see my other hot listing for details.

Wince 6.0 so quite tricky to get it to run alternative software. Wince 5.0 is much easier.

are these actually any good. i've read in a few places about sticking a better sat nav into a chinese/ebay satnav but i've always thought the hardware would be quite weak?

do a search on ebay as you can ger thos on ebay for £27.49. I am on my phone so cant list it.

I don't know what the current deal is with running 'alternative' software on one of these generics.

I have used (every day, professionally) a H&K (Chinese, Ebuyer own-brand) Windows satnav running dodgy TT, but it hasn't been updated since installation and I was under the impression that it's increasingly difficult/impossible to run dodgy software on these Chinese/no-name satnavs...

Well 3 reviews on Amazon seem positive amazon.co.uk/Noz…VDQ

I've got one, get the 5" version for about £5 more.. Brilliant maps, speedcams and poi's

yep I have one , they run on igo8 , maps are by navteq , dead easy to update for free , they are really good , it picks up a sat nav position really quick too

Why can I ask don't people just use their phones, or say a 3G enabled tab? Google maps will always be upto date etc and if you already have a device that runs android why would you get another satnav device?

rather go for amazon one it has more ram

You can have mapping worldwide without needing data contracts when abroad/out of signal?

Most of the phone based apps with offline maps are rubbish (or cost more than this deal for tomrtom/sygic etc)

Also the interface and features on satnavs are still better in a lot of cases compared to the phone software.. (which is getting better).

Additionally you can leave this in the car for when you forget your phone, or its battery has run out..

Get Co Pilot on your phone. Cost me £20 a few years ago and as a delivery driver can't fault it. Always spot on.
I also download it for friends and family using my license key.

These look good, but are plus £2.99 for delivery.

Bought a 7 inch Chinese one, once you have had one you want another straight away....just watch out for shiny screen ones they are unreadable in sunshine....

yes they're free on mine.

Why buy a sat nav when all phones have Google maps?

Wow, that 7" one sounds pretty big. That's like sticking a small tablet on your window. I imagine it would be nice to use though.

I currently use my iPhone 5 and the official Google Maps app (free) or Waze (free) for sat nav. The screen is a little small, but very usable. The google maps app is fantastic though, you can also set it to download areas of the country for offline use.

Power drain is a big pain for me when using the phone though, you really need to have a spare cigarette lighter socket power cable in the car, especially if you like to leave the screen on. Unfortunately the cigarette socket in my car is knackered, so I need to ensure my phone is juiced up before going on a sat nav journey.

Google maps use data every time you use it.

Hi Alan,
This Sat Nav is shipped from the UK with Royal Mail 2nd Class Signed For post.

There is an identical model to this one for 90 pence less at £27.59 also shipped from UK, but it does not mention SpeedCam in the title so may possibly not have the speed cameras. I did consider posting this one but the company is actually registered in China which is against HUKD site rules.

There is one more that is cheaper, also coming from UK but it is a different model running WinCE 5.0 instead of 6.0 , It does not mention SpeedCam, Lifetime maps, or Warranty plus they too are registered in China so again could not list anyway. All the rest at a similar price are shipped from China or Hong Kong. If I had to return a satnav, I certainly would not want to send it back to China Recorded Delivery.

I don't want to. That's why

You wish, Waze is online only, so when you hit a non 3G/4G area no more navigation.

I sold my satnav years ago, I've been using my 5"phone and my 7" tablet for navigation without fault.

Use MapFactor GPS Navigation for FREE, no need for a data connection (all maps are stores on SD card). You even have FREE safety camera alerts, works on phone, you can even use a spare phone left in the car. I can charge my phone in the car or use power cable when using satnav, never does my phone run flat just because I use satnav (its common sense).

You can download free turn-by-turn GPS navigation for your phone from the Playstore,

MapFactor: GPS Navigation

or

Navfree: Free GPS Navigation

Dont let anybody tell you these are rubbish, these navigation software programs are general better than the regular satnavs.

Its doesn't work like that mate. Route calculation is done on cloud. You will need 3g or 4g connection.

I use both of those apps in conjunction with CamSam Plus for Camera Alerts. I use paid for Plus version as it can float/overlay other apps, so you can have a floating camera alert window over the main sat nav app.

igo8 is a really really old igo version, are you sure is not igo primo?

How is the process of getting the free updates? You go to a certain website?

Do you also get the speedcams updates? Thanks!

Im a courier and use satnav all the time.I have used these and the maps are great, better than garmin. The down side is they are let down by the rubbish units.Pay a bit extra and get a decent tomtom with free map upgrades
